You do have to question whether there is a constructed pad there, as all we have seen is a couple of pictures of a clearance, and a truck on a new road under construction.

Perhaps Skittish can give us the latest satellite pass to determine site status?

Could they do the basement drilling by drilling and casing together to get over the problem of ledges, washouts and fractured material ? And inside a 7” liner ?

After reading through Skittish posts, I think it puts a completely different slant on the reason for buying a Rig that was 11 years old and had been cold stacked for the last 7 or 8 years.

Putting it into service straight away after an audit which in effect was only cosmetic, was a BIG gamble, and with breakdowns, has been a risky strategy to pursue. But fortunately/hopefully, if we get some results, it may just have paid off!

On the other side of the coin, the Predator is built like a Brick ****house, and Epiroc have a Service option called a “mid-life” option, which would put in place a replacement scheme for all the critical components, which may cost several million $’s, which we may implement once Rukwa is done, but at the end of the day we should have a “Fit for Purpose “ Rig, with plenty of life left in it, for a fraction of the cost a similar new Rig ($25m ?)

Potentially a smart move! Also sits well with the Eyasi theory!

Anyway, enjoy the weekend, and don’t wish your life away waiting for Monday or next week - time is the only 100% accurate constant in all of this, and we will know when the time is right!

Is it right to assume that the well bore through the Lake bed and Karoo formations, below the lowermost cemented casing, are likely to be sound and stable down to the basement level, where they started to encounter fractured material and decided to call TD at 1448 metres?

Presumably if they had encountered loose or soft material on the way down, they would have paused and installed casing, before proceeding?

So, are the first 1300m approx. less worrying than the basement as far as hole collapse is concerned, or is the whole hole open to collapse?

IF we can pull the drill back up, then surely wire logging and gas sampling should be achievable over most of the depth, if not all, in a worst case scenario?
