Itumbula 2 Wellhead, Pad and Cellar13 Dec 2023 14:18
There have been some previous comments since the Twitter pictures on Monday about the size of the Cellar and Pad at the Itumbula 2 Site. On closer inspection of that photo, and those of the 27th July for Tai-C, there is no difference to the size of the Cellar (the Hole in the concrete formation).
The Itumbula picture shows 3 Sheet metal Road Plates 2400 x 1200 x 19/25mm Thick, with cone barrier surrounding, covering the hole of the finished Cellar. Approx. 900-1000mm out from that you can see the rubbed joint of the main mass of the concrete, poured in place to support the equipment. This matches the Tai photo, at an earlier stage in process where you can see the cellar shutter to form the hole, and the surrounding excavation to be poured with mass concrete.
So the well pad is ready, and the photo is at Itumbula 2, as Tree positioning confirms this, in my opinion.
So the Drill Rig, when kitted out and ready to rig up, will fit on it just fine!
They are also obviously using both IT1 and IT2 for accommodation, storage, etc., therefore I would 100 % confirm that we have a live ready to go Drill Site! Using the 2 Site Compounds will also help reduce wet ground conditions in the event of troublesome rain volumes!
Time to find the gas, surely?
As an after thought, I heard this story the other night, based on the old fashioned word HELLO! Nowadays everyone says Hi, Hiya, how you doing, etc.etc. There are only 3 times you really hear Hello being said now.
1. Answering the landline phone you say, Hello, almost surprised there will be someone calling your landline!
2. Entering an old spooky, scary, silent building, your first action is to shout HELLO !
3. And speaking after inhaling on a Helium Balloon you say a squeaky h..e..l..l..o
Oh for a squeaky h..e..l..l..o. Come on Itumbula, it's up to you!!!!!!!
