I dont think for a minute that CS was referring to the end of the financial year, it was clear as day he meant the end of 2023 but for whatever reason the events he was hoping for never came to fruition. He never guaranteed the sale of assets would happen, just that he was hopeful

I find it incredible that a share rose 10x from where someone bought and they never sold but held on all the way back down again. Thats not a criticism of Sturfc as im sure plenty others will have done the same, i just cant imagine making that much of a return on a share and not cashing in

i forgot scotland have the 2nd jan as a national holiday, is there a salvation army locally? im sure they'll have someone on duty if there is one nearby.

Beast - I went looking for the HOT's thread as there were a few posters claiming it to be the case which it clearly isn't but unfortunately the thread has been deleted by admin.

With regards to the tax credits / vat refunds the update as at 30 June stated - "We have started to receive value-added tax refunds (VAT) against capital expenditure in previous years, which also contributes to our cash position".

The update also noted - "The Company's current cash assets at 30 June 2023 including cash held in bank accounts (£0.4 million) and US treasury notes (£1.54 million) totalled £1.94 million. The value of unsold concentrate within Inventories at 30 June 2023 was approximately £3.5 million. In addition, the Company expects to receive VAT refunds of circa £1.5 million."

I think we have now received all the VAT refunds due to us hence there is no mention of them being included in our cash and near cash assets in the most recent RNS

Donkey, CS told us that he hoped to complete a sale this year not would complete which im sure you can understand the difference. Similarly, he told us we had sufficient cash to get us to the end of Q1 2024 which if im honest i was surprised to hear but im not running the company and its finances so would defer to his far superior knowledge

Treadingcarefully, theres a few posters who appear to know your name and using it on here to try to intimidate you such as the happychimp, richard, friendsp and a couple of others. Im curious how they would know your name, were you part of a group with them and there's been a falling out or are they all one poster with multiple logins who knows you. someone asked me yesterday i think about my comment re keith leaving at a time when a sale was apparently so close and a bonus. theres nothing been communicated regarding a bonus, but surely after all this time of trying to achieve a sale or sales and eventually succeeding then management would be rewarded with a bonus. thats my thoughts anyway, but i dont work in a corporate world so perhaps im wrong. i still think the timing for keith going is suspect though and it does concern me.

there's been a few predicting a share price of 20p, i personally would be happy with that but i'd like to hope that it reaches higher than the high of 42p so that every single shareholder will be in profit no matter what price they bought at. there must be some shareholders needing more than 20p to be in profit

It looks like im the only one concerned about Keith 'retiring", which he clearly isn't as it notes he's looking for another role. I dont understand why, when the company is apparently a ball hair away from selling its assets and hopefully large dividend being paid to shareholders why he would leave when there would be no doubt some form of bonus for senior members of the company. He's been replaced by someone who appears to be less experienced. I can understand why AJN left, it made sense at the time buut Keith leaving has surprised me. Im maybe not seeing the bigger picture and maybe it does actually make sense.

Mac posted some links about Essar, and someone else alluded to some form of transaction there but what is the direct link to EUA in its current form, other than Anna Price having worked there, and one of our NED's being there. There is nothing in the public domain noting a future tie-up or transaction, is there?
