due to government contracts no doubt... governments which are now trying to work out when they can stop paying for tests.

so you assume abbot is selling its lamp test to someone/ some company. I think they are probably sold them to governments as part of the free national testing program. I imagine they have a solid contract due to a solid relationship with governments. Or private companies looking to make a quick profit by offering tests to travel etc. Those companies are the ones going bust now..

there is no market left for the poc at the moment, which is why rampers here need to start ordering one for themselves otherwise they'll never get their money back.

in other words, you don't know of any hospitals, private clinics, private GPs, or dentists and care homes, or private schools who are currently testing everyone (thats not one of the standard free LFT or pcr tests) who wishes to enter.

Me neither. There must be an example of a company somewhere who pays alot of money for a LAMP testing everyone daily , surely?

after you've explicitly named the people or places that are prepared to pay for more expensive tests other than the free LFT's and pcr tests, pass the information on to GDR sales team! The only ones I can think of involve travel and countries still demanding a negative test before departure - and less and less countries are demanding this now.

LFTs work well enough and are currently free. Even if they were free lidl would sell them for a couple of quid. Why bother with GDR's poc at 30 quid a test?!?!?!? sometimes people don't want things to be too accurate - look at the mess some athletes are in at the olympics after recovering from covid in january the tests there are so sensitive that they are been told they can't compete. I know a doctor at an ic unit , he's been looking after covid patients for 2 years now and he's happy with LFT's. As far as he's concerned they are accurate and the only thing that can go wrong is when people without swabbing experience perform the test. If you are genuinely ill and really want to know whether you've got covid people will take a pcr test to be sure. Generally, students don't care whether they catch covid or not.

IT's a good point though . The 1G rule ( only people who produce a negative test are allowed access) is the only way to keep omicron out of any building. Vaccinations do not give immunity to omicron they just relieve the burden on a nations health system.
I don't know anyone who has had omicron in their house and did NOT catch it from other family members regardless of vaccinations status.

So this is more evidence that governments are not interested in slowing down the evolution of covid, they just want to ensure the health systems are not overwhelmed. cynics would say covid is saving health systems millions by killing off the old and weak people either directly or indirectly. People who would've otherwise received successful care and treatment for whatever ails they had. So there is a reason for the governments herd immunity strategy - survival of the fittest (and cheapest).

exactly. think of the mcap. gdr only need to sell 3 pocs and the sp will rocket. which is why I cant undertsand why long term investors are not prepared to call gdr and place an order for a poc. The news of orders alone will improve the sp and more than make up the money used to buy the poc. come on Mr Star, order a poc from gdr.

perhaps berkshire hathaway will take over genedrive? imagine... warren and charlie deciding that each shareholder receives the equivalent number of bkh shares. This is what dreams are made of.

wow. It suggests that they don't have a manufacturer. Maybe they just have a bespoke demo product with no further agreement with respect to full-scale production. This makes sense as why would GDR have an agreement with a company to manufacture the poc to scale, if GDR didn't even have a sales team to sell the products?
