Debt repayment is the key thing to watch. They currently have some mega build projects needing a lot of capex and some years off completion. If/when they need to refinance - even years from now - it will be at much higher levels. To fund they can always sell other parts of the rest of the portfolio, but will have to be at lower prices than we've been accustomed to.

Speaking of btc forks bch is having a hell of a run, did not see that coming. Being included in this EDX exchange seems to have been initial catalyst, weird thing is that applies to litecoin also but that's been pretty static. If the increase is sustainable the economics of mining it will have changed drastically, could be an opportunity for smaller miners.

Cost of serving debt going up and with commercial property at the coal face lenders will be charging accordingly. To a certain extent this will be offset by charging tenants more but in a downturn vacancies will naturally increase.

Once interest rates pull back expect the recovery to begin, but the question is by that point what state will the broader economy be in.

CLSK still up over 17% in last 5 days, not too shabby and correlating with btc. Overall been an excellent week for the previously unloved miners, HUT8 looking very perky, merger seems well received. Despite all of this it does still feel like one of those stocks where just when you mentally write it off, out comes a left field catalyst to liven it up again. For any big US audio publisher this now presents a ridiculously cheap acquisition prospect.

Yes it's just a trading update so they refer to single digit percentage growth etc as opposed to full numbers as the audited results are still due.

Momajid You asked why we had not received a trading update for FY23 in the same form as the update today. You missed that they had. Within those interims I mentioned, look for the heading "Post-Period End - for the year ended 28 February 2023"

In the interim results (6 month period ending 31/08/22) they did give a brief trading update for full year too (period ending 28/02/23).

This surge upwards looks like potential short covering to me, a bit too haywire to be routine switch to bull especially when argo has traded pretty independently of btc moves lately and headwinds of Texas heatwave and dilution on cards. Maybe tellingly Nasdaq premium has disappeared too, maybe somebody read my arbitrage tip.

Very decisive btc move today, this is what I love about it - just when you think the market has turned truly bearish after Binance drama and drift down to $25k along comes a day like today. Enough to lift even unloved miners like corz and to be fair even awaken sleepy old argo ;)
