It has been 17 weeks since the last operations update and there are now only 17 trading days left in March. I suspect that the government will not grant the exploitation licence if the local land use approval continues to be problematic. Has anyone seen an update on what is happening on the ground?

You may well be right that PM would have to put out an RNS if the land use problem is a serious and continuing problem. We just don't know, and it has been about three months since we had news and the end of the first quarter is now just weeks away; and thereafter Mongolians will be preoccupied with the upcoming election.

It seems that the local Land Use issue is not going to be resolved any time soon and presumably this will be required before grant of the Heron exploitation licence. Moreover, PM may be reluctant to release a clarifying RNS as it might be counter-productive. A depressing outlook

I think they will have to defer construction and put plans on hold for the foreseeable future.

Absolutely agree Dozzawba. I doubt funds could be raised until the exploitation licence is granted even at a huge discount to todays' SP. Moreover, if the exploitation licence were not to be granted, the GoM would be most unlikely to grant an exploration licence extension for block V. For this scenario, PM 's shares would be near valueless. Accordingly, there must surely be a considerable difference in valuation for PM with the exploitation licence versus uncertainty as to whether it will ever be granted.

Are you suggesting that a placing could come before the exploitation licence is granted. Surely not?

From MB’s latest interview he is confident that the exploitation licence will be approved in the first quarter, but evidently it is not imminent. When MPAM has completed its assessment, does the licence then have to be approved by the Mongolian Cabinet?

Indeed very strange. Also, I see trades of £100 and £48.75 today.

There have been a remarkable number of very small sales recently. The only trade showing so far today is 752 shares. Why would anyone sell £27 of shares? Doesn’t make sense.
