>>Jamie, no. They were of the opinion that it would follow long term trends. There would be substitution rather than increased demand and the hype wouldn't materialise.
Disagree with AA on that, at least in the next 50yrs. Ofc there may be a substitution for copper as tech moves on but non-digital tech moves slowly and a magical solution, over electrification, will not come any time soon.
Nuclear is the way forward IMO, but remember that it's just a power generation unit - We still need all this copper for infrastructure
I hope you've been reading these BB's over the last few days Bird. What a mess your gob has made...
Not such a bad result if AA are not interested - We just need to hope they let us out from under their foot without it being too costly!
Personally I'd rather we just sell it on as a project with potential now - I'm sure AA could easily sell the purchase, say 20-30m, to their shareholders. + They ofc have the $$ to progress this much faster than we (Bird) could. he going to drag this out for years with more BS/failed deliverables. Or he just fecks off and lets someone in who actually keen and reliable and is not FoS.
I'd be 'content' with a 20m pay-out from BR from where we stand with it now. We spent ~10m on it to date and it does have potential but I'm so over it after all his lies....
>>I bet he is regretting it all now though.
I get the impression he either couldn't give a feck, taken zero responsibility for his BS, and even tried to gaslight us - Or he has some sort of psychosis....
>>Where does Colin go now
He could start by upping his exposure here after all his BS. Say to 10% - He can then feel the pain his BS when the SP drops....
He did sell quite a few as I recall, but not at 7p
>>Captain Bob
I believe it was the Captain, and CE, that Bird told the '25p (45p after a drink)' line to at the AGM?
>>But really at 7p last year you really should have sold and said goodbye forever
You really are right there. I personally think Bird is a waste of space and and is playing at being a CEO just to keep a little active in old age. IMO he couldn't give a feck about returning shareholder value.
Saying that, I was well and truly sucked into the whole 10p 'I'd tell em where to stick it' line and the talk of 25p sell out in 22/23. Who would sell at 7p.....
For sure I should have known better.
And for sure we know that Joel Silberstein's calculator often goes on the blink!
>>the alluvials are a total mess - the numbers do not tie up - Certainly he was right in that
Your post reminded me of the comms I had with JN over that:
Dear Dr. ##, before I left I had fired both the CFO, Joel Silberstein for poor financial control and the COO, Eduard Victor for poor performance at Chepica - the Board supported both but Colin overturned my decision to fire them and hence I left - with these henchmen in place there will be no transparency - they both need to be fired and Colin must step down - The company needs a new CEO who can take Manica the hard rock project forward - it has BFS completed on it - the current team does not have the technical capability to do it and Colin does not have market support to raise project build capital - the alluvials are a total mess - the numbers do not tie up - same issue as with Chepica, alluvial production is not there - again same COO as at Chepica - The hard rock gold is where the real cash is but you need a new team!
Good to see the copper price back on the move northwards:

Based on the lack of updates from Bird I fear we have a long way to go before the dog, sorry Tier 1 asset, that is BR will be viable....
I think it was back in mid April Bird stated the concentration studies were near completion, obviously it will take time to compile but @9 weeks from that statement now I would assume it was not such a +ve result.
I assume we will get some +ve news out of Manica before the AGM - Income and what the next plans are in terms of extending the life of that mine.
Possibly news on Kakuyu, or whatever it's called - I recall int he same interview Bird started it was already producing a little but they wanted to get a plant in there?!
" The Board expects to publish the Notice of the Annual General Meeting as soon as practicable thereafter and a further announcement will be made shortly."
Pretty poor grammar which could be interpreted in two ways - My money is on another announcement separate to the AMG RNS.
Any money on that announcement being Bird is stepping down?
If he has, suddenly, retired - it's no doubt down to the fact he's too cowardly/ashamed to meet F2F with SH's after all the BS he's been feeding us!
Either way we should get some sort of comms to provide reasons why.
Complete lack of respect to shareholders from Bird....And who's surprised?!
And I do take responsibility for my investments. Ive made and lost money in the past in AIM but when the chairman is berating posters in a public forum for suggesting the BR asset is only worth 10p the infamous 'tell em where to stock it line' well, who would not be holding at 7p
Twisting my words now then. There's only one person who claimed he knew what BR was. Certainly not myself...
Interesting timing BTW with your statements - Coming just before the AGM....
