RE: Vodafone is vodagone20 Nov 2021 13:25
Hi, I don’t know much about the telephone industry but will share my research. Brokers tip Vodafone to go to around 160 but admit the risk is high because of the fierce competition in that industry and the view of the Vodafone management isn’t good and they don’t sit top of the telephone league table, endorsed by some on this board. I did invest here but sold at a loss and am looking for a better alternative, hence this reply
Considering NP. Which is reliable, good dividends but right now a little too high for a ideal entry point. Hopefully it will drop before ex div 2/12. Results were good. However, I recommend NP. not due to my research but because it’s one of the top 5 for the futur from Hargreaves lansdown. See for yourself on their homepage. It’s in an ideal position to lead the energy, environmental growth which will continue to be flavour of the month, pays a healthy dividend and for me is a better bet than Vodafone BP similar proposition with SP falling nicely. Despite the good results for IMB I just can’t invest in tobacco as can only see demand continuing to fall. Not found anything else that gives that level of reliability. Knowing my luck, VODA IMBwill fly…my late father, bless him invested in NP. 20 years ago. Very wise move and it’s that which will make me invest here. Good luck in whatever you choose to do
