T; I have reprinted out all the proverbs for noticeboard next to computer
coming back a little...someone must have dumped a LOAD of them
heading for 11's
no, horrifying
If only I had heeded "if in doubt" on Friday...1270 Ocado...going down
Yes O, I remember reading 30% drop and not taking it serious!
I wish Ocado could make some announcements on it's service and more capacity...if that's even possible?
Doesn't seem likely though.
FTSE futures saying down to 4913, that's not a good start.
lot of ugly virus news over weekend
good luck
S - my wife says Sell too! ...every time they've gone up a little bit...ha, ha
Another share I have banging on about TM17 computer games...I only needed to buy them on Friday would have made 8%, they seem to be brushing off any knocks at moment...I mean how can they be damaged in their industry...people staying at home?
Only mentioning because I did draw up a list of short term alternatives to Ocado
But insisted on telling myself I had to continue blindly...
Good luck to everyone tomorrow, whichever deals you are making
Hoping no worse than 165, S, ...my wife will be asking me "why I didn't wait til then to buy them"!!!!!...........fair enough question.
Hi S,
Yes, I put TSCO in a list of possibles last week. They can't do too much wrong. Maybe if we get another bad Fall see if you can pick up cheap? they don't move a lot, but won't lose you anything either. Normally hovering around 240, so starting to look reasonable under 218.
Yes Oogle, bang on. I feel for anyone on front line. Other European countries catching up slowly and then, what happens when USA finally starts losing thousands?
Anyone, any thoughts on Ocado for tomorrow?...all speculation I suppose until FTSE futures or news.
ME : Either just about bounce back to low 14 briefly and then gradually reverse...OR....continue down from opening into 12's
PS. is it not suspicious this story comes out after IAG goes up 12% the day before?
A favourite word of all newspapers.... "COULD" hold equity stakes in companies about to go bust.
"INSIDERS" confirmed
"UNNAMED SOURCE" told FT
Not saying it definitely won't happen, but IAG has taken steps already. They have cash too.
Not sure they are at the next stage yet.
Plus they are not British anymore anyway.
Sounds like a page filler to me.
Thanks T, sound advice
Glad you got order OK and good of Ocado to be seen to be caring.
I love all the OTHER supermarkets kindly offering instant jobs on minimum wage! ...they are going to make a killing over next few months providing supplies stay up -time to share some profit.
So far, only seen OCADO saying they had temp. scanners on doors for staff safety. Staff are going to have to be looked after, but I think that's a bit un-British isn't it?
IAG not nationalised in 2001 or 2008, but NO, don't like the sound of that AT ALL.
No, not about to give up. I will print those out today.
Was still expecting IAG to go down further anyway.
well said O, all disproven!!!
That's my worse nightmare Oogle, Govt. buying in and F'ing evrything up.
Hopefully not IAG registered in Spain. Easyjet up yesterday, I would think down if share dilution likely??
Maybe early speculation by FT?
I'm not buying the Govt announcements about flashing all this cash to bail businesses and workers out...something doesn't ring true. When my wife gets some for her almost bankrupt one I'll believe it.
Hi All, I see the big fall yesterday was a lot to do with Dow Jones down 900, so I feel a tiny bit better that Ocado "could?" come back to 14's.
MIght hit 1240 though, before cycle starts again.
S, I thought similar : about feelings yesterday...BUT in fairness, none of us really said anything CONCRETE to each other about the "all time high" warnings, (not that I expect it, we don't owe each other anything). I did see your comment, but didn't really register it with regard to year high point.
HOWEVER, am I wrong? ...that we all hoped it was coming back later in day? so we are all guilty of that same thought.
my avg is 1456
Ocado just never showed signs of picking up, even from mid morning.
I didn't heed my own advice, but DAY AFTER RESULTS..."is a day to stay away and let dust settle"
The previous days were completely different.
I often read "you can't beat the market"...and a gambler or a fool does that. It's not clever.
I ended up trying to correct loss and made things worse. Would it have killed me to switch OFF computer.
Just been watching videos and guy shows what inexperienced traders do....and that is the description of ME!!
Well done S, ...more oil companies. Did you used to work in the industry?
What did you do with Ocado... I know you had that bad feeling, which was exactly right. What made you think that today?
I'm hoping was a delayed sell off and can come back in coming days/weeks.
Bit p'd off with today's ending...BUT at least all supermarkets completely booked up for delivery slots so how can Ocado go too far wrong?
Have a good weekend all
