It may be that the very limited number of shares means that they want as many shares as they can get.

I would think that might mean they are expecting news of a positive nature.

I don't believe that MM's get advance notice of RNS's being published but it would not surprise me if they are not tipped the wink by someone. This is AIM after all.

Having been an investor for far too long in Sound but I remain quietly optimistic that one day we will be rewarded.
The marketplace has changed around us with Algeria , Russia and LNG all making strategic changes by the current board very logical.
Obviously until we start producing in the right quantity and making ££ nervousness will prevail but I believe/hope/expect that two years down the line will see Sound as a completely different successful producer of a product that remains in demand despite the need for global reductions in CO2.

Topping up as I can when I can with a 5 year view.

Angus Energy
Angus has announced the conclusion of leak testing and the commencement of commissioning of the Saltfleetby Gas Field. The duration of commissioning is expected to take between one and two weeks with a target date for first gas export (ie sales) between the 7th and 12th July.

The hedged volume for July to September inclusive is for 3.375 million therms. The expected output during that period from existing wells B2 and A4, assuming a start date of 1 July is approximately 5 million therms and comfortably exceeds the hedged amount.

As Saltfleetby delivers on the last days of commissioning, Angus management must be delighted that not only is the first gas that is imminent but that it will comfortably exceed the hedged amount, previously a worry for some observers. This means that during the hedge period the company will easily start to accumulate revenues and remember it now has 100% of Saltfleetby which is accretive to shareholders.

The comparison to GGP is not quite right. I hold GGP and also Wishbone.

GGP is a fabulous discovery and starts at about 400-600 meters down
WSBN is said to be just 70 meters before we hit ore of some sort

GGP has many more shares in issue 4,053m to be exact
WSBN has 170m

GGP is 45km from the Telfer processing plant
WSBN is about 13k

So whilst WSBN is my biggest gamble its not quite comparable. If we hit anything at all (Copper for example) we will be a very sought after company. So shallow and so close to Newcrest's dwindling resource at Telfer that they must be watching our drilling results as keenly as we are.

Needless to say this is some basic facts but also some massive optimism for the short term win.

Recent disappointment from some about the incentive scheme put in place to reward success makes me wonder sometimes why people invest. If we think back to where we were just a year ago it would have been difficult to believe so much progress could have been made from such a weak position.
The demand in Europe for gas will remain strong for many years to come and with Algeria getting stroppy Morocco is particularly well placed to expand its exports. We will be part of that as well as expanding internal use within country.

Well done to the management team for being good communicators and playing with a straight bat.

The shallow nature of our tenement gives me hope that even with the delayed reality of finally getting a contract sorted- we might get results in a sensible time frame.
Won’t take many buyers to move us up quickly with relatively few shares on the market!

Those lucky enough to have spare cash to invest may use it here! Gamble on finally getting some information from the shallowest drills in the area but at least we may not need to go down a kilometre to hit mineralisation.

Along with many others I am waiting for the progress on the queen of silver mines at Elizabeth Hills.
So much of the future push for green energy depends on this and other rarer metals that this should be the icing on the cake.
DSO Iron ore providing the bulk of the cake in short time while the Icing is being prepared.
Someone suggested we all go out there with wheelbarrows and spades to get the DSO underway....... lets hope one of Bills mates has a much bigger spade and a huge barrow.

For anyone who has not yet done the research its worth pointing out that Red Setter is just 15km from Newcrest's massive Telfer Mine and processing capacity. Havieron is 45 km away in the other direction. Telfer is running out of quality ore and would be more than capable of handling whatever we find. (If we do of course so its an each way bet)
Its also reported that the drilling team we have contracted are based at Telfer with all its facilities.

Please check these facts and as I say DYOR but those simple facts make this a very plausible long term tuck away on Red Setter alone.

As was said earlier the first reactions will be from traders relieved to take 15% profit.
Many of us have waited for this news and no doubt there will be a delay while the big players realise the potential it offers.
Most of the jigsaw is complete and now we are at the bottom of the orphan period of the Lassonde curve I hope.

A question that I have thought about for some time is getting off Aim.
We are far too valuable to continue in this cowboy market and perhaps part of his thinking and reason for London trip is to start the ball rolling on that as well.
The II's will not invest in Aim to any extent even for a valuable potential like ours.
Obviously it wont stop the JPM's of this world as they seem to be allowed to do anything they like to rip off others but it may make the volatility subside.

Just a thought.

Whist I can see the potential for Angus to do well in the UK gas market once they get the Saltby project live and producing, still to be proven after a number of documented delays, I am not sure that an all share bid from SOU adds value to either side. Surely we need to get our own very exciting projects sorted first.
Unless Graham has a funding JV commitment being completed pre April 8th , and is not yet allowed to say, I can't see this being anything other than a distraction.

The other scenario is that he is hoping for one of the other "5 bidders in the Data Room under non-disclosure" to put in a hefty and higher cash offer so that we can sell whatever we have in Angus and take the profit for the coffers.
If so well done ..... but as yet no-one else has made an announcement of any sort.

Anyway its all a patience game and good luck to us all.

Whilst Red Setter holds the attention as a true "Heads or Tails" gamble - or should that be gambol?
Cottesloe with its proven silver potential is not to be ignored. I would think that tucking a few away in early April with next years ISA allowance should see us start to move north once again. The number of shares in issue ,at present, should mean rapid increases once we start to confirm the potential from either prospect.
Lets hope the communication matches our expectations.
