I'm holding, no worries.
I know some of you were in RRL a long time ago :)

For those who were here a long time ago :)

I can confirm that my wife and I still hold 12 million shares :)
Since when did issuing new shares cost so much?
I disagree. GS was paid nearly £500k. Granted most was "Bonus" and "Long Term Benefits" BUT these are paid in accordance with the Remuneration Policy, details of which and targets are not published, apparently so competitors can't poach individuals. Frankly Bonuses should be directly related to the SP and/or the income generated from AUM.
Then consider the following: SP is languishing at less than 2p. Black Oak AUM (income from which is supposed to make the Company good money) is still miniscule. We have no idea if the other £280 million of AUM earns decent money. The Bonus payments were made from a P&L account which made a stonking loss. 87 million share options granted to the Directors since 2020. I'm not surprised that a lot of investors think Alpha Growth looks like a 'lifestyle' scam.
Well my two questions were asked, where is break-even and when will the accounts be published. Guess I'll get the answers by end June then.
I guess it could have been a buy placed first thing this morning. Damn good price for that size of trade.
It was a sale of 2 million shares @ 2.42, not mine I would add.
No need to ask permission, I posted on a public BB.
@Daisy1963: You don't need to refer to me as 'a retired accountant' when reposting my posts from a year or so back, you can use my BB name :)
I'm still here but only as and when I can be bothered. The only news that matters is what is published as an RNS and, frankly, there has been way too many snide even downright rude posts. This is a public BB and anyone can post what they think about the share and/or performance of the BoD. Personally I don't see the point of negative posts, they don't do any good and, if you're feeling that you may have made a mistake investing in ALGW you'd be better off selling quietly and moving on. Covid forced my wife and I to cease working and retire as we were running a childcare business with a dozen or so adults and children entering our house each week which, given our ages, was more of a risk that we were prepared to take. We have 11 grandchildren so we're still busy. We still own 12 million shares in ALGW and I have no intention of selling them until fair value is reflected in the SP.
When you start a business one of the most important things to decide on is an exit strategy and I believe that Gobind et al planned for this to be when the Company attains a certain level of AUM and is bought out and I was and am happy to wait until that happens. If this is the case for Gobind and now MW then if the SP lags far behind the true value of the Company it is of no real consequence to them (or me). In time the value of the Company will become apparent to all and the SP will rise to match it. In the meantime sit back relax and be patient. If you wanted overnight success you should have invested elsewhere. FYI I am buying Tesla shares these days.
Bear in mind that so far today only £34k worth of shares has been traded. This wouldn't be enough to make it worth the MMs getting out of bed if they only managed ALGW. Until we see a daily churn in the 20 million plus shares the the bid/offer prices are frankly rather meaningless and the MMs will move the prices to try and make more on every trade.
If you need to buy or sell a meaningful quantity I suggest you just do a little every day so as not to tip the MMs off who will screw you if they can.
On news all this will change very quickly, the spread will tighten and the price will move dramatically.
Roy Rawlins had 7.325 million shares on 20th January (see RNS dd 20/1/2021) which was 3.04%.
Between 20/1 and 16/3 he could have increased his holding to 9.6 million and still been below 4%.
On 16/3 he probably should have submitted another TR-1 (as did Mark Ward, raaydaar and I ) as he probably went back below 3% (7.325 million shares would have been 1.71% and 9.6 million shares would have been 2.24%).
Of course he could have participated in the new share issue and kept his holding to between 3% and 4% but as he has just submitted a TR-1 reporting that his holding (16.4 million shares) has crossed the 3% threshold (12.96 million shares) he probably didn't.
Since 5/11 he could have further increased his holding to 17.2 million shares and still been below the next threshold of 4%.
LOL
I'm fine, haven't sold a single share and no intention of doing so. Been in Spain for the summer. Busy organising the wife's 70th birthday bash and visiting our 10 grandchildren.
According to my records just over 50% of ALGW's shares are in the hands of just 14 people (+ wives/partners) and, as far as I know, all 14 are in long term if not until sale of business or dividends.
@Alun21: You say you 'have it on authority' that the 15 million share sale was due to a T20 that couldn't be covered and that the individual had to sell shares to cover their position.
15.8 million shares is 3.65% of the total ALGW shares in issue. Not only has this individual never submitted a TR-1 when crossing the 3% line when accumulating but he/she needs to submit one now updating his holding.
Couple of late reported trades, not reported until after hours. One which seems to have been done before market open this am for 15.5 million shares and another done at 12:44 for 4.2 million shares. Big one looks like a sell as it was at 1p less than the opening price. The other could have been a buy. No wonder there was movement of the SP. Hats off to the MM's for churning 49 million shares and earning themselves some £25k.
