Could be wrong….but difficult to imagine that this wasn’t a case of decent results being leaked. Nothing else could explain such a move. If in fact they are (not totally convinced much as I’d like to be)….this will steadily climb to 40+

there won't be a blackout period for an AGM when the group has released an annual report already....absolutely no way. there is no inside information that could be traded upon....

absolutely superb results today...phenomenal result for the company. 3rd in the US...and we are a small nimble independent operator.

christ on a bicycle...this is what they can do while they are independent employing a dozen employees. care to imagine what they can be worth to a major multinational platform media/entertainment group.

on another note guys...spoke with an experienced investor today who was sharing his thoughts. he thinks tobin not buying pretty much says all you need to know atm...its the longest (by a long time) he hasn't bought anything while the stock is priced at its most attractive levels ever vs. performance. hardly takes a rocket scientist to work out something is going on. I went back at him as thought maybe it was a reporting period black out period so he wasn't able to....he corrected me and pointed out he was buying right up until the last trading update that was given.

you are spot on the money redninja...group of similar companies like volex who are extremely high quality but will not be going anywhere fast. however....5 years time if you hold sensibly they could make you very well off. good thing is i think they have seen their deratings take place...don't think the downside risk now is very severe, especially with volex.

if nat rothschild, who could put his money into any elaborate PE fund or hedge fund that he likes, is throwing his net wealth at this...then I'm happy!

Completely agree Snudge...want this stock to do amazingly well. Will be a fantastic structural play over the next decade if it can start to operate normally again. However...that isn't on the cards anytime soon unfortunately....as you say, Ukraine is losing territory by the day and Russia have been surprisingly strong in being able to handle sanctions and just keep putting in more poor men. Attritional warfare suits the Russians...as it has done for centuries time and time again.

I think in the West we underestimate the tenacity of the Russian psyche....brutal.

Anyway...far as Ferrexpo is concerned there are two main issues. Obviously firstly it is logistics...and this isn't showing any great signs of improving. Only chance for them is another port but barge/rail is being more and more affected, and they aren't going to be using their original port anytime soon...dream on if you think that will happen. Secondly and more severely is the prospect Putin decides to push further into the country...he may well do it the way things are right now.

share price just moved 12% in about 2 minutes....what the hell is going on?

Definately something going on...just of the view that if you hold it will be goings on which will see the share price return to higher levels than before.

Impossible to second guess but logic tells me it's AAQUA trying to launch a hostile bid...

you speak a lot of sense alwayswinning. I can honestly say the state of British politics and business is an absolute embarrassment...capital allocation is almost like a foreign language in this country and the mixing of politics/finance/business with constant ESG agenda's and the like is just a robbery of shareholders.

I can quite honestly say that Polymetal and Evraz were two of the best capital allocators on the FTSE. Sums up the state of things how the UK government treated them. Disgraceful.

Was thinking more about the drop last night and obviously trying to be thinking in worst case scenario mode to have bases covered.

I just cannot see the drop being attributable to anything negative or detrimental. Look at recent performance numbers and structural growth in the industry...

Someone made a comment about company needing to provide an update...I agree, they need to. Doesn't need to be in regard to share price movements, but regular performance updates are needed given the drops.

My major conclusion about being comfortable though is Tobin's continual buying...not so much the action, but the fact he is no ordinary chairman. He is a renowned tech investor / operator who isn't just sitting in a chair position for an easy gig. He is highly active within the tech space and will no better than anyone the potential growth going forward here...he could also put his money anywhere else - mainly thinking young, exciting fast growing companies. He is choosing to load up here.

Fully aware we could see more drops, but is what it is. Want to be part of this growth story.

The company should stick out another performance update like they did for April. Needed to calm nerves I think.

we are indeed sitting on a very lucrative opportunity here. wish i had put more in yesterday...was very close to doing so but shoved it somewhere else.

I'd say I sympathise with those who bought at 2200...but I don't...this company has its best years ahead of it (aside from any big acquisition) and will be a fantastic early stage growth company to share the spoils in. Annoying to have a short term headwind SP wise...but just read the trading update and annual report...it's the company your invested in not the SP.

For people lucky enough to buy in around now (I was 1200...first time mr market has ever been kind to me)...count yourselves so lucky!!!! absolute bargain...
