And way way oversubscribed. More money took. Credit rating should improve as well. Things on the turn now maybe management or those behind it all driving this positioning. Last Tuesday “Given the current market conditions though Metro have elected to not proceed with a transaction at this time....all relevant stakeholder” (also remember the board press release saying after results) they pulled the bond at 175m done at lunch time and only needed 25m more. Today at lunch time they had done 475m and then by close of play added another 75m....so yo would have expected the original bond to get away fully on that logic.

Then Monday night “The bank is confident it will meet its MREL requirement as at 1 January 2020, with a number of different options available to it.

Then out of nowhere Wednesday vernon rns goes and without any indication (to possibly not alert shareprice) the new bond is out and available followed by rushed rns and huge oversubscribing.

If I was betting man I would say someone is talking to them be it Elliot or a very interested party

Different view but bond away and a much higher amount in thus making any placing and shareholder solution less likely now. Also note the whole rns and last few sentences.... But on the shorters aspect...whitebox certainly took a huge chunk at prices lower....odey and ena also added at lower than current prices....(ok a lot more was higher)

The issue the shorters have now is that they have to try and guess what others will do. Ena indicates last week by close half their short very quickly they will get out. Marshall Wace have started to close. Whitebox May accept they have mis timed this. So then you have the other one I forget that may think let’s close before odey and then odey May think let’s screw them all and get out. You see what could happen of course just thinking out loud.

Deos last time when metro did a funding it went from 500 to 810 in the space of a week, i know not the big move you are looking for but with results to come that we already know are going to be much improved, further tr1s, new chair to come in, brexit no deal off table and then of course rumors or buyout - all positive.

Just relax the fear here has gone away the mrel requirement got away and some. More is unfolding here and quickly this should start its walk back up there is a huge amounts of shorts that may well want to close now and new positions by IIS to enter. Another friday tr1 could do a nice job too
