As someone else said and as I was in Asos, the results weren’t great the bottom line wasn’t great it has gone through a process of cutting cost increase in spend and but it’s now positioned itself for growth and numbers increasing and as I said leading upto and on results yesterday has done over 40% in around a week.

Cronin has always followed metro closely. I’d love to know how investec have come to their analysis of awful figures when a lot of the numbers are known as per prospectus, board update and mrel getting away nearly 2x over subscribed

Are we now seeing layering here and artificial manipulation. All the large trades today pop up as cancelled an hour later. The 150,000 share trade cancelled. The 50,000 share trade cancelled. End flat at 204. What’s it being held for

Seems like there are quite a few posters who hold no position but just can not leave the share or board alone and write nothing but negatives, post more than holders and spend a lot of time here wonder why that is....

Asos and kier just two recent examples with shorts around 10% and one has risen over 60% from low and the other over 100%.

Why were institutions clambering and over subscribing a bond issue only two weeks ago? If they thought this was going bust they would lose everything.

Thomas cook and Debenhams had debt piles of debt debt that could not be managed.

The issue here is there is no real update now until the results in March. Results are expected to be at the lower end of expectations as per last update. This is the problem with only two updates per year, one real asset, take a look at the chart last year and how it dipped dipped down in October through to November. The only surprise could be the new cfo but that maybe short lived. I will look for 170 territory before coming back. Might be worth a few trades with no duty on gkp in mean time.

But it’s iis and shorts closing who move the shares not the repeat trader who keeps saying 190 sub 200 just because that is their target buy price. It was held today note the trades today 5 x 50,000 shares 3 x 25,000 4 x 20,000 and so on with 90% of them all coming in the afternoon after that brexit update and when everything (mostly) went blue.

Little bit of reality check. Why would results be bad? Have a look at the prospectus and the rns about the credit update showing the ratios....they are good. Mrel got away well over subscribed - why would you take that and put yourself in the fire without doing the background check.

Generally when shares have large shorts open the lead up to any results sees a reduction and a steady rise up as on day results they don’t like to gamble in being caught out by a bonus statement/update. Asset sale....new board member

Currently the board can’t buy but iis definitely still can and the board can definitely buy on the day of results.

Oh and brexit deal looks to be getting done....
