Annual dip17 Jan 2022 07:08
I was waiting for the annual dip in the SP to top up. It was going well ish until the news got out.
I own both GSK and these and thought that they would find a fit of some assets. The offer makes sense but I'm not sure there will be a simple compromise.
Normally a big premium is offered to sweeten the deal and get it over the line. The SP would take a hit, woop woop my dip appears! GSK share price rises, often expecting another bidder to start the war. Although not so in this case, a slight premium offered.
So what will happen on the open? I expect GSK will push higher but I'm unsure what will happen here. Is it a bit in no man's land.
I also have mixed emotions, my heart says don't sell to the cash rich US corporation keep it owned here but my head says get the best price which means that holding both will mean shuffling money from one pocket to another unless the head wins.
