I did a quick look and apart from the period from Nov PNN was holding its own or faired much better. PNN sold half of itself so that might account for some of the difference. I used HL charts and over 5 years PNN was ahead most of the time.

Still when I sold PNN, if I switched into SVT it might have worked.

Fortunately that all gets covered by the settlement dates and times. The dividend is often paid much later than the ex divi date so allows time for the last day adjustments to take place and you do get your dividend.

If you bought today, you get the divi.

I will open lower tomorrow morning by the divi amount

As the discount on these is increasing, I have added a few more to the PF. I goes against the sell in May advice I know.

Expect an announcement on the dividend later this month, 25th I think. I hope its bumped a bit again this year.

The divi was rebased recently so its moving back in the right direction. Still someway off 2019's 28p

A bit of an uptick today for some reason and this looks like is approaching new highs. Im not sure why UKCM reported today but can see much in there to read across plus the bump here started well after 8am

Yes it has defence spending but unlikely to result in much extra income. More likely less on the Russian airline cuts offsetting any small extra in defence

Big jump on the results as expected. Bump on divi but with caution sited.

I suspect there will be more to come as the trading continues. Trying to forecast the future divi, 2.5 twice, reading between the lines or maybe 6p total. Speculation of course rather than anything firmer.

Markets on the up too generally so maybe that helps too

It's common for the price to drop close to the offer.

I donk know which brokers allow buying via Primary Bid especially if you want them in an ISA.

If you are limited to £250 it's probably more hassle than reward although I deleted the app 5 min after signing up last time I looked for something.

They don't help existing shareholders much but it does help the board. Why not at the start of the tax year too rather than at the end when allowances are used up.

Often see a bit of a bounce after a large daily drop.

Dead cat maybe but its nice to end a day without a buy falling by 7% at days close. Still its not bombs falling so hopefully I can ride it out.
