Just visited the Genedrive website to find out about their product.
When you use the menu and select 'Our product' you get a 'page not found' error. Doesn't look very professional if people have been trying to find out about their products over the weekend.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the Genedrive test needs a special machine to analyse the sample and give the results.
The test might be very accurate and the results only take minutes, but you still need a special machine.
There is a massive shortage of self test kits for the public. If the above is true, this product does not fill that gap.
The presentation covers many areas but it does not say how quickly BC could produce a million plus test kits?
Thanks for post.
Have Beckman Coulter given any indication as to their manufacturing capabilities?
I have made several posts asking about manufacturing capability if they got an order for say one million or five million kits but nobody has replied.
Obviously any potential customers will be asking about their capability to deliver large volumes in short period of time. There could even be issues obtaining the necessary raw materials to manufacture the kits (not just affecting Gen but all COVID test manufacturers).
Yrs, you can buy and sell shares in a stocks and shares ISA, but you can still only invest £20k per year. You can't use your stocks and shares ISA as a proper trading account and keep all the profits tax free and keep on investing new capital beyond the £20k annual limit.
If you did invest £20k in ARB 3 years ago and kept buying £20k worth each year you would have made the figure you mention (although closer to £1.6m as ARB floated around 4p for ages).
In theory, £20k of ARB in a Stocks & Shares ISA buying ARB at 10p (doubtful) and selling at the high of 280p (doubtful) would give you £560k less the initial £20k gives a profit of £540k.
I see more fairy dust...
True, but to have £1m in a Stocks and Shares ISA in such a short period of time is almost impossible.
You can only invest £20k pa and even if the shares ten bagged you would only have £200,000. Of course there is compounding, but the poster said 'this year' so that's impossible.
Typical forum. People would rather argue amongst themselves than have constructive discussions about the fortunes of the company.
And posts from anyone who feels the need to actually tell people how much they have made must be taken with a gigantic pinch of fairy dust!
A few weeks ago I posted that 50p - 60p would be max price without news. I still maintain that opinion.
Yesterday I posted a question about manufacturing capability. Seems like no one wants to talk about that.
It is becoming clear one of the reasons for the shortage of test kits is a difficulty obtaining the raw materials required to make kits.
My question still stands, if Gen got an order for 1 million or 5 million kits, how long would it take them to manufacture the kits?
A fair question? You can bet it's a question any potential customer would ask before placing an order.
How quickly could they manufacture a million kits?
A very relevant question.
Maybe there's a shortage of kits because there is a worldwide shortage of the materials needed to make them?
Was any guidance given about manufacturing capacity? Many news sites are running the stories about a shortage of test kits which has been the situation for weeks now.
How quickly could Gen manufacture say a million test kits? Any potential customer will definitely be asking about timescales.
One more thing to remember, with regards to stock trading, that is seldom mentioned, is that when rampers are having a go at derampers and vice versa, brokers have staff with more degrees than a thermometer buying 'the next big thing'.
I genuinely believe absolutely nothing that happens on these forums massively affects the price of a stock. Sometimes people are suckered into buying, or suckered into selling. But only in small quantities that probably don't really affect the actual price.
If a boffin from an institution had this on their radar and then bought a good amount then that really would be worth looking at.
Has this happened here yet?
Just to (finally) finish, one of my favourite sayings is 'there is ALWAYS time to get back in'.
Posters say 'you will miss the boat' if you don't buy today and 'last chance' etc. You might miss the gap up, but if this is the best COVID test out there, you will have time to get in (even after all the orders arrive!).
I meant of course Genedrive.
You make some good points about the difference in application / use.
Could the Genedrive kit replace PCR tests?
So a lateral flow test and PCR test becomes a single test? (Supplied by Genetest?).
Yes, first whiff of sales and this will rise (so long as the contracts are decent).
But unfortunately not all AIM companies get sales even if they have decent products. Look at that company who had an innovative carbon based mask. They had the machines imported, then had difficulty manufacturing the goods then didn't get decent size orders and punters lost their shirts.
Hopefully sizable, genuine orders will arrive (contracts would be much better) and the value of the company will increase, but there is a lot of competition and a lot of known quantity is already out there and this company is still a relatively unknown quantity regarding being able to deliver such an important product in quantity and to a very strict quality control (and at a Chinese 'cheap as chips' price.
Still so many unknowns...
The have simply confirmed their test can detect Omicron. This is a manufactured spike to attract some buyers before the next drop.
This news is already a given. All of their competitors test kits detect Omicron so they are just confirming their kit also detects Omicron.
Their kit might be slightly more accurate, but the big question is, is that enough for them to gain new contracts over existing Chinese suppliers with proven supply chain track record, proven quality and probably a much better price.
I just think they were keen to release some news to try and stabilise the share price, but simply saying their kit does what the other kids do is not the same as saying they have confirmed orders for millions of their products.
Bruno how do you know any units have been shipped? who have they been shipped to?
Make that 34p. Only 53% out Roger.
