Fiona and Neil didn’t even buy shares in the company.

If the trials were going well, they wouldn't have had to raise additional capital at 50p.

Wyndrum is correct. Even the way the RNS has been written suggests it was agreed weeks ago.

Give or take, it was agreed a few weeks before or after 1 January 2024.

They've got the old boys involved in this placing.

But it's normal for Avacta's share price to drop below the placing price. As it did back in 2020, the share price hit 100p after the raise at 120p.

It's reasonable to expect a 20% drop when there is such high dilution around the corner.

What if they are forced to run the placing at 40p, HarChris?

Barry, there is a risk that they're not able to raise enough or placees will withdraw.

They will have the option of reducing the placing price down to 40p in order to attract more placees.

This is no placing. This is a distressed placing.

It's very likely it will trade down to the 30s. There should be some resistance in the lower 40s.

This will trade down to the 30s. I wouldn't be surprised if the BOD are forced to drop the placing price to 40p after this.

This company will really struggle to raise after this placing. They will need to take every £ they can get with the death spiral financing ongoing.

Certain Directors, being Eliot Forster (Chairman), Alastair Smith (CEO), Christina Coughlin (Head of Research & Development) and Shaun Chilton (Non-Executive Director) (the "Board Subscribers"), have conditionally agreed to subscribe for an aggregate amount of £65,000.

It's a good job they boosted Alastair's salary at the end of last year.
