Yes Ice, what has happened in 2024 does change everything in the long run. If the company was sitting on incredible data, the recent raise would've been done at a premium instead of a discount. This is a huge hurdle for new strategic investors looking in. They will be questioning what is actually going on internally for this to have happened.

So yes, this changes everything. The lack of public data coupled with the discounted placing would suggest there is no evidence that AVA6000 behaves better than normal doxorubicin.

Well Timster. Two years of funding with Avacta is actually 18 months in line with historical proof. Given the stage of the trial and expansive costs of the business, they will be lucky to last 18 months. The market will be expecting cash flow to last for another 12 months.

If cash flow does last for more than 12 months, the market will be worried as it would imply major delays or in the worst case scenario: a failure of the trial of AVA6000. Smith needs to provide a timeline, if he doesn’t it will get sold down accordingly. Or maybe that timeline is only available for institutions?

He liked a video of the new American lady ramping the AVA6000 clinical data. What is particularly interesting is how she was a consultant for the company when she presented it.

You’ve got to wonder why someone like Fiona didn’t present the AVA6000 clinical data and only presented the preclinical data. Is it because the data is dodgy and any direct employees of the company presenting it could make the company look bad?

After a few phone calls he'd have had funding lined up at a premium to the share price. This chairman also likes to claim he has lots of experience running companies in the US too. He isn't fooling anyone, even the rampers aren't convinced by his nonsense.

He allowed a discounted placing to go ahead after claiming an unproven technology works and then claiming that lots of companies want it. Complete joke of a chairman and embarrassment for the company.

Affimer v Antibody in LFT. Taken from Avacta website ‘They are a more stable alternative to antibodies that are ideal for use in diagnostic applications.’ so why was an antibody required in the LFT? The CEO has gone on camera multiple times and claimed Affimers are superior to antibodies.

As for this ‘Affimers were produced which inhibited the covid virus entering human cells’. Ok so they produced some Affimers in a lab that could do this? Why have we heard nothing since? There’s more radio silence, just like the LFT. The CEO even said they’d have required clinical trials to prove this. It’s the equivalent of saying AVA6000 works before you’ve even started phase 1. Just more ramping then?

ValueCurve, it was evident from how the LFT was handled and the lack of comms since that there has been a major failure.

Even the CEO no longer shares slides which involve progress of the diagnostics business. It seems that whenever there’s a failure it’s swept under the rug and the CEO just moves onto the next ramp.

The problem for the CEO, is that investors are now starting to doubt whether there is even progress with AVA6000. It could be another LFT repeat.

It’s all a repeat of 2020. The CEO comes out on a rampage and plugs all sorts of words, cue: unequivocal, exquisite and holy grail. His aim is to get the naive PIs all excited (IIs know better) and gets the naive investors to buy into the story. Then once the funding is sorted, he backs off and starts being more realistic in his wording.

Problem is, this time there’s only one shot on goal. The CEO knows he needs to slow down progress of AVA6000 and move AVA3996 into the clinic as quickly as possible. So slow down AVA6000, don’t collect enough data so he can say it’s failed and continue to progress AVA3996 so he can keep ramping if one of the clinical trials fail.

The big error was not progressing the diagnostics pipeline since the LFT. Do Affimers not work as well as claimed? Are they not a viable alternative to antibodies? Have they not got enough capital to invest in the diagnostics? Progress here would’ve derisked the therapeutics risk for investors.

CEO just had his big salary bump. That’s all he can afford?

Real concern is the CFO. He hasn’t bought any. Given his involvement in finances of the company, clearly he lacks confidence in the future share price.

Buying from brokers supports all the old boys and forward sellers who got their exclusive placing shares at 50p at the expense of long term holders. New spreadsheet?

So don’t fund any new pipelines? Turn this into a complete therapeutics binary pure play. This just increases risks for holders even further. If Affimer technology is valuable they should hold onto diagnostics for as long as possible. Otherwise it’s possible that Affimers don’t work and it’s an admission that they’re inferior to antibodies.

If Alastair can only stump up £5.4 million from existing holders, that's a serious problem. What is he going to do at the next raise?

Don't forget there is more diliution to come. Clearing the CLN should've been a priority. There is now a steady flow of new shares to be issued onto the market every quarter for the next few years. Why didn't Alastair raise additional capital to cover the CLN in case the share price drops below 50p in the coming months? The share price was held down well below 120p after the 2020 placing.

Wyndrum, either way you look at it isn’t good. If they’re not taking as much as they can get from the REX offer now, then in 2 months, if the CLN is paid in shares instead of cash and the share price has dropped below 50p. That’s a serious problem.

On the flip side if there hasn’t been enough retail interest, the share price could collapse. If not enough people are buying at 50p who’s buying at 60, 70, 80, 90, 100p+?
