Announced today the appointment of Don Dickie and Mark Arundell to the Company's Geological Team.
Mr Don Dickie brings 35 years of potash and salt mining experience to the Company, his work having included the development of underground caverns through solution mining. Don originally began his career as a geologist within Domtar's salt division, Sifto, before progressing to be Production Superintendent, Mine Superintendent and Operations Superintendent at Sifto's multi-million tonne a year Goderich salt mine in Ontario. He was then appointed Plant General Manager for the Compass Minerals/Sifto Canada Inc. salt solution mining facility in Nova Scotia, Canada. Based in North America, Mr Dickie will initially be focused on Sirius's North Dakota potash mining and energy storage project. He holds a BSc. in Geology from Acadia University.
Mr Mark Arundell is a consultant geologist based in Western Australia and has 25 years of professional geoscientific experience. As a Principal Geologist within Rio Tinto's Industrial Minerals Exploration division, Mark was responsible for green field exploration projects for potash, trona (soda ash) and talc in Australia, India and SE Asia. He was previously a Senior Geologist at North Ltd, and RGC Exploration Pty Ltd. Mr Arundell holds a Masters of Economic Geology from the University of Tasmania.
