Agree with the guys DBNO ...we all make mistakes when trading..and we learn from them..
Great to see another genuine guy on here sharing good info and keeping the spirits high of those of us nursing Paper Loses
Oh BTW
In all honesty right now my mistake was to buy TUI shares when an R.I. was on the table so Im hurting none the less hoping its temporary..Regardless of R.Is , Consolidation this SP sits at 51p in my view and do I feel Tui will fold..Frankly no..so I too am looking to add the moment it falls below the RI SP or shows consistant signs of strength
Well done DBNO for sharing and Hexham once again putting the record straight
George
Cheers Mike ..fully concur..
Seems everytime I turn on the Lap Top....Tui/Marela cruises are advertising their wares
Cheers GM for clarification here...Am just wondering how this all computates to relative SP ..This still looks massively oversold if TUI survive which I think they will
Have i got this right
In 2018 (pre pandemic ) and old money the SP was 1800 versus todays old money sp of 54p
The SP recovered in 2020 to 210p versus todays 54p
My Apologies...initially read it as 40p but its + 4.88 and in my brokers case 5.10.....
I've taken up my 800 rights and am still expecting a bumpy ride....
TBH ..I've really struggled with this rights issue but again thanks to all for imparting their knowledge and understanding here
Stupmy
Yes the rights went to 40p to sell..not to buy ..
Rights that havn't been taken up will be sold at a date in the future...you were only eligable for rights allocated against your holding several days ago...
Either way as the rights issue is underwritten as Hexham thankfully often reminded us ..but none the less it will be interesting to see if there is a mad scramble for the big boys taking up those that were not bought...
Interested what others think here ?
George
A very complicated process indeed but that SP in old value looked massively oversold IMO
Stupmy
You state that you are kicking yourself for not buying rights at 40p...Really ? ...could you have done that ??
Im slightly confused here
Just bought the rights...just in case their are issues Tues AM
This is a mid to long term descision and accept their could still be some volatlity
Thank you to members who took time out to walk us through our options particularly Hex..cheers Hex
Hexham
Rights SP now 523...so better off selling??
Really ??
Is tomorrow pivotal in as much that a lot of Retail Investors are taking it to the wire before making their descision....by way of checking what the SP does
I think My broker needs the funds in place and given a deadline of nxt Tues lunch ..stand to be corrected on thid
Without imparting any advice whatsoever Hexham has taken the time out to respind to a number of RI's who are to say the least struggling with the Rights Issue
Wouldnt it be good if our Brokers could do the same..
Thanks again Hexham and indeed LSE for giving us a platform to impart this knowledge
Just a great big Thank You and well done to Hexham for taking the time out and individually responding to all the R.I.s who have been confused by the Rights Issue...Indeed it does challenge the Brain and the pocket
I myself will wait unti Thursday before making my descision and FWIW belueve that if the SP falls below say 549 then seriously consider selling my 800 rights...If on the other hand it is arround its current level to 575 then I will find the funds to take up the rights....SIPP contributuon 2023/2024 from 6th April or even sell some shares to fund it...
Between say 550 and 575 then Tail Swallow...
A very cheeky question on my part is what does Hexham plan to do ...as he/she seems well versed here
My sincere Apologies for stating the 8:1 figure...genuine mistake..did not mean to mislead anyone and
take it on the chin being refferred to as a "Numpty"
Will The eventual resting Price for the SP be determined by the number of holders who take up the rights issue..
8 for 1 is hefty and for my 300 shares ive got to stump up a significant sum against running paper losses..
The question is will the remaining rights / shares be snapped up by say the Institutions in which case this could stabalise the SP
My other question is will i ba able to add to the next years SIPP allowance in time to fund my account before I have to pay for the rights
