I've got to go with Schroedar in Radium's 11:45hr post below. That's pretty much what I was trying to say, in my own way, yesterday.
There are ca 8,000,000 ADR units, representing ca 16,000,000 common shares, out of ca 160,000,000 total outstanding shares.
When one shorts, they usually borrow the stock from a brokerage firm to short. They track this. Naked shorting is another story,
OK, TBH, I think a buyback would be totally lame at this point in time. I don't mean to be rude, I am just being honest. Remember, I am an American....it's in our DNA. No offence meant.
