I know everyone round here has fears over yet another placing (me too - I mean look at the BoD's record) but here's a thought...

On the Proactive Investors interview on 18th May relating to the placing on the same day for £900k, at around a minute into the interview AP states that 'according to the regulations we (Vast) have to issue a cleansing RNS before any placing can take place'. That's why on the 12th May we had the first update titled 'Baita Plai Metallurgical Test Work Update'. They had to release any unpublished data that they had to investors before they could carry out a placing. This is in the regulations for AIM.

Now take the last RNS on the 24th July which states that 'the Company can confirm that the testing of Copper & Zinc has been finalised and the results are encouraging'.

This would indicated to me that if Vast wanted to carry out another raise / placing then they would first have to release the results that they do have from the metallurgical test work carried out so far, first.

Could be seen as a heads up warning should Vast issue an RNS with only part of the metallurgical test work on it like they did on the 12th May.

The big outstanding issue (IMO) is the finance issue. If you read the RNS on 24th October last year and give it a good read there is an awful lot to take in. Getting Atlas off the our back and sorting some half decent finance will make this fly. The BoD have been negotiating new finance since then (not far off 9 months). It would be nice to see some kind of update on it.

Not forgetting the standard RNS for 'Atlas Special Opportunities LLC Interest Payment Election' in between raising a few more £ to pay off the Atlas interest at the end of July.

Hahahaha, what a bunch of pricks. After raising over £3m since April the 16th, the BoD still don't have £30k to pay off the interest on the loan. This BoD are seriously taking the **** now. How incompetent can you get?! Yes, before the usual defendants of AP get on their high horses and say that its only £30k, I know, it's the principal of it all. After raising well over £3m in just over 2 months, they still elect to pay off this tiny interest payment by making the shareholders suffer just that tiny bit more. It's things like this which have ruined the credibility of Vast. Pathetic management. Just how much headroom do this bunch of clowns have?

I get the impression from that interview that Andrew Scott is an investor in VAST and is as pi**ed off as the rest of us.

Nice to see AP squirm abit under some decent questioning.

AP will forever be known as 'always placing' from now on. Guy's a novice CEO and never had a proper plan from day one. Take the 7 million or so they took from atlas to get BP into production. Why not properly plan and borrow the right amount in the first bloody place? Always some BS excuse for another of his placings. Sure the usual faces will be on here later backing him up as they normally do. You know, the long term holders in Vast who only ever pop up around a placing. I believe one was mentioned last night by someone.

I wonder what excuses he will have for the next placement because I bet there will be one before they earn some revenue from BP. The interview kind of eluded to that very point IMO. He has no idea how much product the offtaker requires before it can be shipped and the company gets paid. Around 900k a month to run the mine so expect mid to late July at a guess when the BOD realise yet again they've underestimated the cost of running the mine.

Same old AP. Same old Vast. Same old BS.

One thing for sure (almost) is that there will be a placing at the end of this month and the end of next to pay off the Atlas interest. Don't believe me, take a look at March and April.

I honestly can't believe there has been yet another placing. This BoD are appalling. I can't believe they've blown through $7.1m in 53 working days. This whilst also issuing shares to pay the first part of interest on the loan to Atlas. I wonder how many more issues there will be to keep paying the interest until BP actually provides any kind of revenue. I'm guessing one a month as they clearly have no cash to pay the interest off. I honestly thought that when the finance was drawn-down they would at least be able to get BP into production but yet again, off they go chasing rainbows in one of the most corrupt and unstable countries in the world. Jam tomorrow yet again. Same old story year after year after year.

Think of all the money which went down the drain at Manailla. So glad they spent all that cash on the drilling programme and the JORC to extend the operations there to only put it on care and maintenance. They can blame Mercuria for not proceeding with T2 all they like but it turns out that cash wouldn't have been enough to get BP into production either. Just to think, the BoD thought that the Mercuria cash would get BP into production and Manailla extended with a new processing centre! Ha! Blueberry gold mine anyone? More money wasted which could have gone to get BP up and running. Drilling at Zargra, the same. Remember when Eureka gold mine would be the next best thing? If only the BoD had the ability to focus on one project at a time instead of trying to spread itself so thin all for a company with no income. It really is embarrassing when you look through all the RNS updates over the past few years. They are rudderless. A lot of this has to sit with AP as the CEO. The only consistent alert we see since AP took over is 'placing to raise $XXX before costs'.

I'm bunging this in the bottom drawer and forgetting about it. I've been here for years but I've had enough now. I've been diluted into oblivion. This is a traders share and always will be. 11bn shares in issue. What a pi** take. No interview for 4 months as they have nothing interesting to lie about any more. Sure if the diamonds ever arrive they will be all smiles again talking more lies about short term revenue. The AP tweet of the Zimbabwe scarves before the AGM was a joke from a desperate man. How long has BP taken to get this far? Years. It's ok though as AP still has his share of the BP pie whilst we the shareholders all suffer. AP on $250k a year?! Really?! For what?! The inability to focus one a single project at a time?

I do hope this turns out well in the long term or at least to a point where people can get out and move on. I'll still hold as luckily, I've only invested what I can afford to lose. Just as well really. See you around. Good luck all.

Zim under lockdown for the foreseeable future. Production in Romania still months away. This is going to drag on and on at these levels for a while now. Don't hold your breath.

Back to the doldrums for the next few weeks then.

Well last time Vast had some diamond news the SP rose for a few hours before the RNS was released. If the same happens here again we all know that there is a leak somewhere.

As always, I live in hope that Vast get some good news but realistically I don't think there will be any diamond progress this week. Zimbabwe have far bigger issues to deal with.

At least there is progress with BP. There is light at the end of the tunnel there at long long long last. Only a few months until it can finally start to produce. We've been waiting on it for years.

I hope Vast and Zim prove me wrong and we do get some diamond news this week. Hopefully it's positive...

Dispatched from China in March, not delivered to Romania.

But it's written right there in the RNS... It's not delayed.

'These initial shipments will allow the company to commence production within the six month timeline on financing as indicated in our corporate presentations.'

Pretty sure a JORC takes some considerable time to complete fully. I imagine it is a requirement for the 'swiss finance' first mentioned last year. I personally expect / hope the JORC is followed by better a better finance agreement. It's all down to BP now and how things are progressing with the start up to production. Put simply, it needs to be in production in time to start paying off Atlas T1 or we are all in trouble. The clock is ticking... We all need an update really from Vast as to how it's going on site.

We could all do with an update on BP. The radio silence on it is slightly worrying. It would be good to see some equipment on site. Anything been installed? Anything been tested? A few pictures on twitter don't really cut it IMO.

Not really the wrong share. As you will no doubt know, Vast owned these assets until last year. It's interesting to see that Eureka is still not in production and that it won't be until H2 of this year.

One thing that stinks is that on Tuesday the SP rose significantly for at least 2 hours before the RNS landed. As leaky and as dodgy as anything I've ever seen on AIM. There's no way people buying then didn't know an RNS was on the way.

On this basis, we will know when the deal has been signed off as there will probably be a significant rise on no news with an RNS following it later on.

Good old AIM.

BP was always the main aim. Diamonds are a bonus none of us LTH ever really expected. The FCF from BP frees up more opportunities to expand in Romania and generate more cash.

If the diamonds ever arrive it's a win win.

It would be nice to get an update on BP. Is the new equipment on site? Has it been installed? Any testing complete? This company needs some cash-flow and badly! BP is the nearest to achieving that. Just wish the BoD would give us some kind of progress update.

I do love this clutching at straws for any event in which a minister attends.

'Ooooh a new toilet block is being opened by the minister of mines! Hopefully VAST get their license signed then!'.

If it comes great. Why waste time and energy on all the speculation? We know nothing. If it gets signed we will get an RNS for it. It really is that simple.

Romania is where it's at near term. Cash flowing soon not to mention all the other potential upsides that VAST have on their hands once the FCF rolls in.
