to put into manufacture by a certain date, there will be a date when the design is frozen to be able to have the product signed off by a certain date and a date for manufacture to begin so a CE mark has to be in place before this date.
A good reference are the RIBA Stages for construction, if you want to google this.

In order to get a CE mark, you have to have a fully designed and signed of product. The next stage is to put this into manufacture. If the design of the product changes, then it has to go back to be signed off again and CE marked again.
Looking at NCYT, they never gave info on what had been ordered until the had started supplying their kits.
I think, because of the rush to get these into the general public, these are already in manufacture

I already think that the design freeze was done and the test kits are already in manufacture.
This was more important that updating us shareholders, to get the kits out.
I think the next RNS will state what orders have been given, which will send the sp rocketing
