Comeonvog, if I may ask, how did you manage to sell your stock through Bridges ? I am trying to contact them by e-mail and I can't even fill out the contact form as ts asks for an Australian state on the form, it wont allow you to input UK ?

Blimey GS, how time flies eh. I truly sympathise, as I remember how you researched and posted so many figures and valued comments. I too held this in great esteem and could have gotten out with handsome profit in a former life !

Peaky, that's what I'm being told, I keep telling them that barcs have washed their hands of it and cannot do anything. A guy from IG promised me the other day that he was gonna find a way round this and mail me back within a couple of hours. I'm still waiting.
I reckon I'm gonna go back to the Oz share registry and plead with them, surely they can issue electronic shares straight into IG instead of this paper holding statement ?
Other than that I'm contacting Newfield directly, they did say they would try and help if there were any issues.

Hi Jim, yep, load of crap.

Hi Guys, still no joy my end. Got a mail from share reg in australia telling me to forward my holding statement to IG, requesting them to forward to their Australian custodian who will then convert the physical shares to electronic ones and credit them to my IG account.
Just called IG explaining this and they said they cant do it that way !
I really am at my wits end now, its ridiculous, I only opened an account with IG and transferred my ISA as they said they would deal with them no problem.
