Having a share consolidation as you say won’t achieve anything other than to change the share price and the number of shares in circulation. Can’t really see the point in that

No Snige, go and read what the transition period means. It means we will carry on trading with the EU in the same way until it ends. It means we are still subject to EU laws such as the ECJ and during the transition period we will still have to pay into the EU budget. You really need to brush up a bit Snige. Curious more than anything to be honest. Lloyds is potentially reaching maturity in terms of earnings. Any additional distributable income after the payment of normal dividends, if not used for acquisitions, will be used for buying back stock not special dividends I would say.

This just might focus the minds of the EU negotiators that we are not going to waste anymore time. The EU need to be fully aware that attempts to elongate our exit to plug their budget deficit are going to be fruitless.
