Just off the investor call, the 2.5m was mentioned as a loan repayment. Fair point made by cta, it wouldn't have hurt to have an extra line in the RNS to clarify
Hi privatetesla. I'm not sure I agree with your figures, I think they're a little on the low side. I've pasted below some numbers I posted in late May.
Was doing a few fag packet sums... roughly 9m tonnes of concrete were produced in the UK in 2019 which equated to c3.75m cubic metres. Take an average price per m3 of £75 gives a market size of £281.25m. The quotes I've seen suggest a 5% premium for the additive BUT 25% less concrete will be needed so I reckon there's up to £10.25m p.a. to be got at in the UK alone. Throw in some rapidly emerging economies and it could be a fantastic income stream to run alongside all the other projects.
Whilst I take your point that this on its own won't make us rich there is still a decent prize in the concrete sector to be had that vrs are well positioned to get a good chunk of.
Got to laugh. These guys are absolutely relentless in driving it down!
Thanks for the link, I'd not seen any firm links to VRS in the earlier bits. Surprised no rns released tbh.

Well done everyone involved!
Ridiculous comment. I know you know how share options work. No conspiracy here
Is there potentially a weight/comfort factor here?
To hit the 94% filtration required for FFP2 tend to be thick and quite unpleasant to wear for long periods of time (think heavy duty DIY masks which are often to this standard). This is typically due to the layers of material required to hit that level of filtration.
Switch that wadding type material for a super thin/lightweight material such as Polygrene which still achieves the same filtration and you could go a long way to reducing that discomfort.
Just checking in for any news of the AGM. Glad to see you're still here as the voice of reason Fartherelmer.
I'm happy with progress towards the long term goal. Just going to sit patiently and see where we go
Always had a lot of time for him...
Always love to see shorters get caught out but not many AIM shares rise on results at the moment regardless of how good they are
Just been catching up on this, has anyone taken a look at Aisin Seiki's wiki page? Pure speculation but seems to match some of the comments made...
It didn't help when RNS don't display on this site
Welcome to the board APH. VRS have a part time office presence out in California (Palo Alto), on the edge of Silicone Valley. I think this had always been an area for them to target. (Ref. Interim results Nov 2017)
I've now missed out on all 3 PB offerings. Soonr or later I'll stop zoning out at 4.30 on Fridays! Very happy with the reasons put forward for the fundraise and looking forward to hearing an interview with NR to explain it further. Reflecting on the fact that the first raise (only 18months ago) resulted in offer 10m shares issued to raise just £1.5m. Fantastic that we can now access the funds when needed to accelerate with minimal dilution!
Has anyone found an interview with Brian (or others) post fundraise?
Morning folks, hope everyone's enjoying the ride. For those new to the board Graphite is a naturally ocurring mineral of carbon. Graphene is isolated few layer carbon which has all the magical properties that we discuss here and is produced from graphite. Nanene is VRS' branded graphene product which we understand to be the market leader. Many firms are making claims about producing "graphene" but this is typically multilayer and doesn't have all the key properties that graphene should exhibit. Nanene is the real deal, which is why the major companies are coming to us when quality matters. VRS are still the only company producing in any significant quantities and the potential is limitless GLA DYOR
*not far distant
Completely agree FF and always a pleasure to see your continued involvement. I believe the ISO landmark will represent another huge leap forward for VRS. Very much looking forward to that bit far distant day. ATB Matt
Could someone clear up for me whether Nanene is ISO accredited. My understanding was that we're headed that way but the standard is yet to be set by the relevant bodies. Recent posts here suggest otherwise...
Great publicity but I sort of wish it was next week. I'm all for new and enthusiastic investors coming in board but if not well researched I think the results could really dampen their enthusiasm. The reason for saying this is that the results will be from March to March 17/18. If you assume that even a successful collaboration will take a few months to bed in before it could impact on financials then you could effectively write off every announcement since about september (H2) - by my reckoning that's at least 17!! So are VRS going to make us all very rich in the long term? I truly believe so. Are the 17/18 results going to show multi million pound profits? Unlikely. Keep strong when kempster and co go to town on Thursday and remember why you invested. GLA DYOR
Wow!!
