Right now I really like this board. Some good posts on here today and some balanced and sensible comments. I think this is looking a good recovery punt (Not without risk) at these levels.

I hear you Money. But if they were taken over by BA or Easy jet they could make real savings on future hedging which would help the business model/ profit

easyJet CEO Johan Lundgren told BBC radio on Tuesday that his airline was always on the look-out but there was nothing to report at this time. "We are always looking for strategic opportunities if they arise and we can also take advantage of that given our strength in our balance sheet and our financial strength," Lundgren said. "But there is nothing to talk about at this moment in time, we don't have any interest in this particular topic on Flybe at the moment."

Agreed Scully. It's not a NO is it ; )

I think investors should start to switch back on to Flybe. Way, way oversold. They made a good move last week bringing in the £5M lease back that covers a month of losses. Making the right moves with capacity (see Logan's post). For a heavyweight to buy with all the cost savings they could build in and synergies Flybe should be a sitting duck....

Thanks Scully I didn't hear the interview so can't say for sure. I just read the news . If you click on Flybe news there are some quotes. For me it was positive as Easy didn't say they definately won't bid. Just said not interested at the moment I think was the quote.

I agree if one of the big players moved in. With a low oil price makes it look a bargain. $74 To $53 in a month. Don't think this is reflected in our share price.

Get buying future fuel now. Oil crashing big time.

No I'm not out BTFATH just trying to counter the enthusiasm..... and bring some common sense to the proceedings. I do agree though Mayfields quote is very good and makes a massive business case for someone to get a good deal. I have thought that with a majors buying power, marketing and fuel rates they could do well with Flybe..
