Hi Mike - I am of the opinion that there is one piece of groundwork or piece of paper or contract to finalise that can then see a "complete" and detailed RNS or series of updates, Q&A etc released in a short time frame. Maybe I am just deluded but all of the available "noise" from the company (though very limited) seems to point in that direction. Some news on anything would be good at this point. I look in on MATD now and again .......... looks like interesting times there also. GLA

FastMoney - I recommended your post as regards the filter button - in fact I fully support your right to say whatever you want within reason - it does not follow that I have to agree with you.

Is defo NOT a "ramper" of this share and it is rather sad to see yet another outbreak of "handbag swinging" break out on the BB. As James has said more than once he has his own opinions and he is not trying to influence people one way or another. He is down on the De-Rampers who mostly have no opinions, no shares and no hope of beating the SP down to their preferred buy in point. There is a filter button and it is there for a reason. Hi Bungle - No I asked the guy if it was Schlumberger - he did not recognise the name - mind you he also did not seem to know that there was a huge civil engineering project to provide the new Gas Storage facility either.........

Got back from Georgia yesterday. I did some asking around the locals in T'bilisi to see if anyone had any knowledge of gas or oil exploration going on around West Rustavi. The only clue I got was from a driver we hired who said "Oh yes a foreign company had made a large gas discovery - but we have heard nothing since they made the announcement." It would seem that news on the ground is just as thin as it is over here in the UK.

Guys I am in Georgia until next Monday - staying in central T'bilisi just off Rustaveli Avenue. I have to say there are some great people out here but there is also grinding poverty that would not look out of place in the third world. There are lots and lots of stray cats and dogs - but there are also a great many destitute and homeless people laying about on the streets. I met up with a Georgian tour guide and we went out to the far east of the Kakheti Region and it was mostly rural but again great levels of poverty, poor housing, terrible roads and general infrastructure run down and grubby. The tour guide told me that Georgia has "great natural resources" but the Government over the previous 30 years had stood idle and done nothing. Only in the last few years have things started to get better with some inwards investment and a more liberal government policy.
We went for dinner with one of his old school friends and their extended family. The daughter is 38 years old and earns just 11 euro equivalent a day - working 10 hours a day picking grapes. Georgia is desperate for inward investment and to be independent of energy needs from Russia and Azerbaijan. Currently they produce very little of their own oil or gas and are tied to costly imports.
When people on here start saying they hope Block Energy goes bust maybe they should stop and think what they are saying and that energy (especially the gas) could make a fundamental difference to the country as a whole.

Thankyou CS - Matd are producing no oil. Block are producing at 300 Barrels per day. As always DYOR.

Mike I am asking a simple question and I find it rather rude of you to come along with the insults and bad language. I asked a simple question so I can get a better handle on how to compare BLOCK with similar sized or vaguely comparable outfits.
So lets put aside the silliness - just for clarity (Mike or CS can answer) how many barrels of oil a day are MATD producing - should be simple to answer.?

Thanks Captain Stanley - Just for the record - how are MATD going on the oil production front.? They seem to have been around for a long time - much longer as a listed company than BLOCK they must be very well established and pumping lots of the "black gold" topside for selling and swelling their company coffers.
Just how many barrels of oil do they produce per day.? I know this is "off topic" but it is nice to have a reference point to compare Block against.

Okay research - can anybody on here explain to me in simple terms why the SP for MATD has dropped from 37p to 8.5p (via 5.5p) since February 2017.?

Mike why has the share price of Matd dropped from a high of 37p in February 2107 to the current level of 8.5p.? I hear you on here all the time bleating on about the SP
level for BLOCK why don't you explain all about MATD................

Reading the BB very often - there are so many idiots and negative people "spinning" stories. It is hardly worth looking in here any more. Very sad that the great discussions and information being shared is now replaced with the organised "Knocking Crew" and their antics. I am still here, I am still holding, I just don't check in here that often.

I think Mike there is a world of difference between responding to the post and the poster. Personally, if I were to put up posts on here designed to aggravate almost every member of the BB - I would accept that if the post received any "flack" it would be richly deserved. I am not re-visiting every incident here - nor am I on a one-man campaign to stamp out the "mob" who have been rabidly bashing the share. How the "Knocking Crew" behaves says more about them than it will ever do about me. I am comfortable enough in my views not to have to go around stirring up trouble.

Mike - No one on here has a monopoly on what is said or what is seen as "good posting". Everyone here is free (within reason) to post whatever they like. For myself I do not give a toss about posts which are critical of either the Block BOD, the company or it's working practices - I have done so myself more than once and will happily do it again when I feel the urge. What is rather annoying is to have endlessly repeated negative comments and downright rude postings on here from people who should know better. I do not mind "discussion" or critical posts however it is not just the content that is important, it is HOW it is done and the language used. We are all adults here, though sometimes reading the posts on here it is hard to believe....................

I do not see any of the "Knocking Crew's" posts but I am assuming they are still up to their usual tricks or maybe they are cheering from the side-lines................not.

Mike31 - Actually - I choose to filter people on here as and when it suits me. Just like you can choose the tone and content of what you are writing. If you wish to be viewed as a negative and disrespectful individual that is your free choice. Personally I have no problem with what most people write on the BB but there are ways and means of influencing people. As my long departed mother used to say "you know you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar."

Hi Scooby - Yes last time the SP spiked to 16p I was also out of the UK. Funny enough I am out of the UK from Wednesday of next week (4th September) flying out to T'blisi for a 5 day break and fact finding mission. No doubt my wife will want to hit the shops while I would like to look at an oil rig in full swing....................................Oh well let's see what next week brings - have a good weekend everyone.
