Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Hi Franco and Maladoni - yes its sort of like an adventure playground for investors in here at the minute. Lots of loud shouting, bad language, outlandish behaviour and name calling. I do believe in the value of the company and hopefully before too long some good news will silence the detractors.
Thanks for the welcome back - nice to see the LTH's are here and I suppose even the haters have their place. Trip away was good but some places I went were an eye-opener like in Cambodia and Vietnam. I did not like Thailand - went to Bangkok - seemed like every single person you meet is a scam artist of some sort. Luckily I did some research prior to travel and managed to avoid the worst of it.
I have been travelling in South East Asia for nearly a month so not been on the board much - got back yesterday. Sad to see that the "haters" still hate but then I suppose for some of them its more of a way of life or paid employment. Just purchased 200K shares at 9.23am not worried if it shows up as a sell - it will be mine - the deal was done at 5.28p GLA LTHs
Hi Rob - I don't think an experienced Oil Industry Senior level professional would be buying 15 million shares on a whim or as a "punt". Initially I thought Block might be able to grow organically and keep itself as an independent entity - however I think there might be movements afoot that could be the start of a joint venture, merger or outright acquisition. We might see some healthy results in the next few months followed by an approach to buy out Block - that is my preferred scenario.
Hi Rob - I said in a post yesterday (in summary) that fancy presentations, reports and updates on work carried out will not move the SP. Production of oil and gas in commercial volumes/quality will move the SP. Until then I guess the SP is held at the support level which looks to be around 7.5p - Obviously there is a good deal of speculation around the 1.25M share deal but MMs move the SP around to make a market not to suit small scale PI's like us.
Firstly welcome to the board and I have to say that was quite a nice summary of the situation we are in. The "Pendulum" has swung from over excited news release and equally bullish response for the market to a position where any/all news released is scrutinised and rubbished by all and sundry. The current Yo-Yoing of the SP has not been helped by the organised share bash that went on over many months and swung sentiment for many PI's as the SP dipped to sub 4p.
The only thing I can say is that oil/gas sales and a decent balance sheet will move this North at a rate of knots. Summaries, op updates, meetings and fancy slide presentations just do not do it.
Hi Jaytee - yes I would agree the SP seems to be dragging but if people loaded up at the 6p-4p drop they can sell now and make a few quid. Once the traders have gone and things settle the SP should pick up. Still holding all of my shares not sold one as yet - w-a-a-a-y-y-y-y-y too early IMHO.
Looks like we need either some buy side pressure or "news" to move the SP up another notch. Having said that the support level seems to be around 7.5p - this should move North rapidly once there is even a sniff of good news.
I also sold my small holding here on the rise and made 20% profit. As I pointed out before the timing has been slightly against my holding or adding any. There are obviously divergent views on the company the SP and future developments - I listen to the frothing at the mouth supporters urging PI's to "Buy, buy, buy" and the equally enthusiastic de-rampers shouting "Sell, sell, sell". At the end of the day, I make my own decisions much as Captain Stanley and Dusterhater have. I will still keep an eye on the company and will buy in again when the SP reaches my buy in level and if I have spare funds available. Good luck everyone.
message board - not very palatable for my own taste. Anybody who wants to read it and act accordingly please just step forward and "fill your boots". Personally I have had enough of it.
Being free of certain posters on here is like being unchained from a lunatic. If people are very easily swayed by the persistent negative spin of the "Knocking Crew" I would suggest they should not be invested in stocks and shares. I am not here on a "free carry" however I care about my investments and choose to read what I consider to be balanced, informed and well argued post(er)s. The "bile" and constant negative spin adds nothing to my personal stock of knowledge or decision making. However as usual DYOR.
Agree 100% - I have tried being polite, ignoring the posts, responding and filtering on an ON/OFF basis when it became too much. The pond life are now filtered permanently - I know of no other way to make this BB sane and bearable. There are about 15 people on my filtered list and they are staying there for good.
Captain Stanley - I have no idea why you are being given such a hard time. LTH's here have overlooked the fact that this share has become a trading rather than an investment share. We are all here to make some money and anyone who has an issue with share holders buying/selling should maybe take a long hard look at their own strategy.
Mike hate to point this out mate but for the Mongolian Gov 6% of nothing is nothing. For the Georgian Gov 40% of something is something. You also have the percentage figures completely wrong on the PSC but please don't let that spoil your de-ramping script. Maybe you should tell your "handlers" to feed you some new bullsh*t to pepper your posts with. These old lines you keep coming out with are becoming extremely boring. I might have to put you on the filtered list again unless you can come up with some more interesting cod's wallop. BTW I sold my MATD holding made 20% in one day so I was quite chuffed. I can see things going down-hill there pretty rapidly...............maybe you should take some of your own advice, nobody here seems to want it.
Good to see some positive news - you guys have had a long wait - hope it keeps moving North. I bought some today myself 22,000 shares - not a huge holding buy it was all I could afford at the minute. Will keep an eye on progress and add some more as and when I have spare cash.
A(t) it again....................why don't you just give up for God's sake you are a real genuine 18 carat pain in the A-hole. No one on here gives a flying eff what you think or post on here except YOU.
Mike - people on here know you for what you are - I will leave it at that. Your response to my last post was to call me "childish" oh really...............well I suppose I will have to bow to you obvious superior knowledge on the subject as you are quite the expert. Stop TROLLING a share you are not invested in and stop blindly telling people to "load up" with cheap shares here.
