Beware of the ramper that is StockCheque/Constructivenews. He's pedaling you all a utopian dream on AFC's prospects. Of course we would all like to believe everything he posts but in the real world nothing is a given until it happens. A healthy dose of scepticism should be applied to all his posts if you don't want him to damage your wealth!

Inflation running hotter than expected will not help. SP will be under further pressure as a result no doubt. It's hard work trying to make successful investments in this volatile macro economic environment!

If the ex employee is to be believed, it sounds like AFC's management is inept. Looks like DW's oft repeated allegation of managerial incompetence could be correct! It is worrying though.

Hasn't fallen as much as hoped. Looks like Mr. Market is not impressed. Another tough day ahead no doubt. One requires the patience of Job in this investing environment.

I'm sure that was Heath Robinson's grand son tinkering with the wiring on one of the units!

Also, it looks like all the units are being hand built so it'll be slow progress! Maybe the next AGM will be at Dunsfold so they can let shareholders in for a proper look around! TBH though it does confirm that something is really happening, which is obviously good. It's just a pity that the units aren't being fitted with AlkaMem membranes. Maybe one day!

Sounds like progress. Well done. At this rate we'll soon be hearing that the 200kW unit's wiring issues have been resolved and it's off for CE marking. Could AFC be finally be about to deliver on its years of hype? It's starting to look that way!

But the big problem here is that the CEO has been misleading shareholders and the market for years. I for one will remain sceptical until I see orders delivered and payments received. And why would anyone believe the hype around the cracker given the AlkaMem debacle? Bond has zero credibility.

I agree Stokey. I think it's very informative as it succinctly explains how H&W have got to this point and what the current situation entails. John Campbell is a good, impartial journalist. Let's hope the government see sense and back Harland's loan application. I think the prospect of creating many good quality jobs in Northern Ireland for the long-term will convince the Treasury to back the deal. Northern Ireland needs political stability and a successful shipyard providing well paid, skilled jobs, would help achieve this.

Resumes post AGM as AFC revert to silent mode, leaving investors in the dark once again. You'd think there'd be lots of news with sales allegedly ramping up! Meanwhile, Bond continues to bank a not so small fortune but can't find any spare cash to buy any shares!

I'd say so. The release of this news was perfectly timed to interfere with any potential upside to be derived from easyJet's good results today. It looks coordinated to me. There are clearly forces at work to keep airline stocks down. Why that is I'm not sure. Maybe it's the climate change brigade!

The simple fact is joaung, Bond does not wish to risk his own money by actually buying AFC shares. His behaviour beggars belief but one can see why as the SP heads back to the teens. He no doubt knows there's precious little upside coming here anytime soon.

That sounds like a big positive to me. Let's hope the market starts to value EZJ appropriately. It should be £7 already!

I think you're trying to look for some justification why Bond hasn't bought, joaung. Other CEOs manage to buy shares in their companies outside of closed periods. Bond simply doesn't wish to buy any. Simple!

Also, TheT, one of the possible reasons you point out for Bond not buying is the risk of him losing out twice if the company implodes. If this is the case, it implies that his confidence of the eventual success of AFC is at best uncertain.

Good post TheT but for me it's about him showing solidarity with shareholders and by doing so increasing market confidence in the company's future. Surely that would be a good thing for him to do on top of making himself even more money. (assuming a successful outcome to proceedings)

Any other company where a SP rise is expected or even hoped for, BOD members buy. (ITM) The fact they're not buying here PROVES that the SP is not destined to rise anytime soon. (if ever!)

So why isn't Bond buying then Construct? (haggis)
