Hi Surfit, just my twopennyworth but in situations like these where the spreads are pretty wide I would always use a limit price to buy/sell. You can often get filled within the spread. Worth trying IMHO

If there are a lot of buys and the share price is not moving then there is likely to be a large seller hiding in the background that the mm's are aware of (but you are not!)...

While CHARs SP drifts lower on lack of any direction from the BoD (what on earth are they doing?), ENOG shares have been marching higher on lack of escalation in the middle east situation.

Do we have any idea when ENOG is likely to have test results from the recent Anchois drilling and do we think CHAR has various RNS's lined up depending on what ENOG says? It has gone awfully quiet...

Surety, I agree. I don't think it is as bad as some fear. Any of these triggers could take place before the end of this year and help the SP move back to double figures. I'm surprised the market is taking it negatively...

Regarding the MM's, I honestly don't think there's any rhyme or reason to the changes in spreads from hour to hour or day to day. Intuitively I would think it was logical to expect spreads to narrow on high volumes and vice versa but can't think of any other factors that should have an effect.

Probably AP lettings his mates know (quietly) that positive news is on the way...?
