I just find these anti-mine groups so hypocritical ! I would bet that most are using transport that components originated from mining ! I would suggest they start walking :) Oh, and let's take away their mobile phones that they grasp for dear life because they would not exist if not for mining.......Oh to hell with it, let's take away everything in their home that's electrical including cables......whoops, that means "lights out" :( I suppose it's candles and horse and carriage and messenger pigeon for sending text quickly :))

In fact, studying this share over the past 6 months, I can only conclude it is direct manipulation. Does anyone have any thoughts on the matter !

I very much doubt it's the death of Manohar Pundalik Shenoy, and the family selling off his interest ! The sp has been falling after the rise because of the approved (DIA) from the middle of June until now, and I believe this drop in the sp will soon stop going south and start an upward trend because the fundamentals of this company will dictate that ! As shareholders (owners) of Savannah, we know what we have invested our hard-earned money into and we are equipped with the knowledge that great things will be available to us in the future.

So, let the short-sighted shareholders sell their positions which in turn will leave more of us with a longer-term vision.

I see some on here would be content with a takeover and a short-sighted payout of 20p LOL. I remember back in 99 when I came across BitCoin, and I thought "What the hell is a BitCoin" Well, silly me, I should have bought a few thousand of them at $0,07c lol. Now I'm not trying to compare BitCoin and Savannah but maybe sometime in the future the ones selling now at 3p will be thinking "Well silly me" If only !! :(

Basically, it could be a number of reasons, take your pick! but I just take advantage of the low sp and buy as many shares as I can no matter what the reason is regarding the sp drop. Savannah is financially ok at the moment and the future is a bright one. Long-term investors should not be bothered at this point whether the sp is at 2.00 or 5.00 because their long-term view is wayyy higher than today's sp.

I agree with you Osaka, because when this rumour first came out, it made no sense to me because it's not like Savannah is in crisis but rather the opposite, the future looks rather rosy !

The thing I don't understand is why since the major obstacle of the DIA was approved has the SP dropped steadily ? I truly expected the rate to rise 2/3% a week and not the reverse ?

Let's hope a decent DFS has better headway and gives us more of a sustained rise rather than this Jojo effect ! To be honest, I don't really mind that much when it drops because that for me is an opportunity to buy more :)

Savannah Resources Plc, the European lithium development company, notes the recent Portuguese press speculation and confirms that it is not currently in a sale process in relation to the Barroso Lithium Project, or the Company itself. The assertion in the press that Savannah is close to a sale is unfounded and misleading.

As noted in Savannah's announcement on 6 September 2023, the Company has received significant commercial interest in the Project for several years now and following the endorsement of the DIA and the completion of the new positive Scoping Study, there has been additional interest generated from across the lithium value chain. From the dozens of commercial inquiries which Savannah has received, the Company is currently working through an orderly process to shortlist potential strategic partners for the Project. Savannah is focusing on identifying groups which are willing to assist with the financing of the Project's construction and bring complementary skills or additional opportunities to a long-term partnership with Savannah. The Company expects to provide an update on the Project's commercial arrangements towards the end of the year.

A further announcement will be made if and when appropriate.

Well, I think that's because most of them are under the age of 30 and just take for granted all of the devices they ALL own which are around today because of mining! I don't think any of them would be too happy if their smartphones became the size of a brick, like in the old days before they were born :) It always annoys me when people say they don't want this or that, but Never propose a viable alternative! and living in a cave is not very appealing :(

I look at a drop as beneficial because I get to buy more shares at a lower value, and as it drops I just keep on buying :) We all know this is a long-term investment and if others become impatient and sell off at lower rates, then more for me :)

I wonder if they want those royalties to go straight into their Swiss bank account ?

I think you are correct. I believe entering at this level is not wise to pass up! I remember passing on Bitcoin in 09 at $0,07 because I wrongly thought it would go nowhere :( So I'm not going to make the same mistake twice because I believe these shares have huge potential in the future i.e. "Retirement shares no matter what age you are"

I think with the short-term investors, they will take profit and hopefully only be replaced with long-term investors.

I think even if it hits 0.5 on opening it still is a giveaway share!

I suspect Christian Gjerde as CFO did such a lousy job in some financing decisions that he was given the option to resign or be fired.

Now Nordic Mining needs to employ a more capable financial director, which I believe they will do.

LONDON (Reuters) - Livista Energy said on Thursday it plans a lithium refinery for electric vehicles (EV) batteries in Germany that should launch production in 2026 and has partnered with French oil and gas services provider Technip Energies to design the plant.

Luxembourg-based Livista said it initially aims to refine 40,000 tonnes of lithium annually at the plant, or enough for batteries for around 850,000 EVs, with the potential to double capacity over time.

The European lithium refiner said that recycled lithium from batteries should make up 50% of the plant's capacity by 2030.

"The capacity of our plants to accept recycled battery materials will make us a key part of the circular economy and will support our customers in sourcing lithium directly in

Europe," Livista chief operating officer Jean-Marc Ichbia said in a statement.

Livista did not specify a location for the plant.

Technip will design the plant and prepare construction plans - including for a potential expansion - and design a second plant in another, undisclosed location, the two companies said. Technip will also provide a cost estimate for constructing the refinery.

China is by far the world's largest lithium producer and refiner, and the European Union has been pushing for its own homegrown lithium industry to support the transition to EVs.

Last week mining company Savannah Resources said Portuguese authorities had approved its environmental impact assessment (EIA) for what could become Western Europe's largest lithium mine.

The EU's plans for battery independence also include recycling battery materials like lithium.

As lithium mines and refineries take years to develop, building out European supply will be a lengthy process.

I had shares in Nordic a year ago but decided to sell out with a loss just before the dilution in March. I'm thinking of going back in because I think NOM is unique in the way that other companies are not, because it's like having a crystal ball for the future! We know what to a certain point the direction Nordic Mining will be in say 5 years from now! Which you cannot say about most other companies. Basically, it's a retirement share with solid future growth.

When it comes to the Supreme Court, I have no fear because Nordic received a favourable decision from the district court and High court. Even if the ruling goes against Nordic, then we are talking 10-15 years in the future before they are planning on mining that part of the mountain.

Savannah Resources made Scoping Study (Pre-Feasibility Study) in 2018. I was based on the mineral resource of c.14Mt, a modest initial capex of US$109m, average annual production of 175,000t of 6% spodumene concentrate and associated quartz and feldspar products, a life of mine average spodumene concentrate price of US$685/t and operating costs, including freight to China, of US$271/t concentrate, the Scoping Study returned a post-tax NPV(8% discount rate) of US$241m and post-tax IRR of 48.6%.

Today the mineral resources are 27 Mt, the planned annual concentrate production is 200,000t spodumene and finally CONCENTRATE PRICE IS CURRENTLY US$4,000/t
