Slowandsteady I am not short as I do not short shares (the odds are stacked against you long term imo)nor am I a novice been investing for over 30 years and been on here for 7 years. I will admit if I am wrong but for reasons I have posted before I think there is a strong probability of these breaking well below 1.50 and possibly hitting sub 1. Way to many issues ahead and no indication of how they are going to grow the business, something they have failed to do for years before the latest problems.
Agree, my only surprise is this has not taken out the lows yet ..... but its likely it will very soon imo.

I also think we could easily see sub 1. Way to many potential problems ahead. Where is the good news going to come from?
So many potential problems and uncertainty ahead like the news story today and nobody has addressed how they are going to get back to winning profitable contracts again even if they do sort out the dire financial mess they are in. 1 and lower is likely imo.
Even before the latest problems they were struggling to hold onto contracts let alone grow the business, assuming everything goes smoothly with the rights issue of which we have no idea on price and remodelling the business which is imo a big assumption there is still the by no means trivial issue of how they are going to win new contracts and grow the business which they have been struggling for years to do.
From the January update. "Forthcoming events The date for Capita's final results is to be confirmed."
Yes from mobiles.co.uk very good service.
So was ready to replace my I phone not bothered about the very latest versions so looked at the I phone 7 went in carphone and they said best deal at present was 39 a month on 02 with 4 gig data and 50 cash back and 39 upfront. Lucky decided to check deals on line surprised to find I could get same package with Vodafone for 23 a month with 115 upfront from mobile.co.uk which DC own! CPW refused to match this deal. 23 vs 39 even with the bigger upfront charge is a pretty big difference. Total price CPW 925 INC cash back Total price Mobile.co.uk 667 I doubt CPW can remain that uncompetitive for long.
"I am pleased that we have seen from the company what we thought would be coming" So he expected the profit warning, rights issue or dividend suspension or all 3? If so why did he not wait till they had got all this bad news out before buying more in December? Does not add up. Also assuming everything goes well nobody has answered how Capita are going to return to growth bearing in mind they have been struggling to keep let alone get profitable new contracts for years before this came out.
Having thought about it I think he is making the right moves. Getting debt down has to be a priority for the business to survive in the future. However serious questions need to be asked why the directors let it get this bad without acting. Its shocking what a bad state they have let the company get into and people like Woodford have been well and truly sucked in imo. However I still think the share will drop more before it improves as their are just to many unknowns not least the price of the rights issue at present. Goos luck all.
Quite a few sources had concerns about debts and the way the share keeps falling and the very high yield should raise concerns but still hard to predict stuff like this. The golden rule for me is only to have an absolute maximum of 10% of your portfolio in any one share that way you can survive the odd disaster.
Exactly way to many questions about debt, rights issue, dividends and future contracts that affect the companies very survival to be buying yet in my opinion. People have been forecasting the bottom since 5 could easily fall further particularly with no divi to support it.
Exactly so many unknowns buying here is pure speculation.
There probably will be a bounce of some sort but don't forget there will likely be a lot of investors who are now looking to exit and could use it as an opportunity to do so.
They really should have given an indication what was going on earlier but as usual the big boys had a chance to get out before while the small pi's are left holding the baby.
I do not short shares but if I did would be short here can see no reason to buy very uncertain future and further falls are likely this is a gift for shorters imo.
I posted yesterday it looked like somebody knew something and now this! Really feel for those long but I can see no reason to hold these now very uncertain future and Woodford haS some big question marks over his judgement now imo. GLA.
