What a battle. Up or Down close on day it's a real tightrope.

It does finally seem this week it has been building and simmering ever increasingly.
Potential for reasonably strong move either direction (looking increasingly like up thankfully)
Still early days though so personally keeping a lid on it.

You still have failed to say what the day close guaranteed price will be. I mean you knew this morning and by sounds of it wasnt a 1p drop.

Please answer the actual question shorter

Shorter did you ever clarify what price point you borrowed at to go short? When you did this, for how much etc?
You also have a long position, what are details on that?

Yes MOOla looks toss of a coin at this stage for today. Probability small margin either side. Given today's market that seems reasonable to me.

In fairness it wasn't said previous 2 days were down ( though does predict so daily).
The trend has been down, just pretty much never at levels shorter says is guaranteed.

How much down is it closing today?

Kayjay, Noise or lack of is no guarantee to success or failure.
Both over history have fallen either side.

Life and successful business is often not about those that make most noise.

Sum the share has just as equally shown quick large drops. In the main the large rises were on what at the time was/would have been great news e.g. reopening. Importantly that is different to reopening now (we are further into cash burn and a lo get than expected pandemic and we have now had planned earlier re openings that did not happen) These have added to uncertainty.

Yes, after the initial fall this morning largely in line with other shares in FTSE it has so far been very flat/stable day.
Slowly feels this week has us reach ever nearer the next critical breakout point and neither side know which way. Down or UP, UP or down.

That's reasonable. Largely comes down to each of our views on whether they will or won't achieve that .
Those long believe they will, those short believe they won't.

So there is ONE YEAR for Cineworld to get back trading and profitably is largely what you are saying indepth!?
On balance I would say that's as good or better than many (majority) of businesses..
Few can survive without returning to decent trading for another year I expect.

Lack of pomp on re opening to wider public might be no bad thing..
Let smaller numbers go, feel comfortable and relaxed. Happy to be back and view it as safe environment. Let staff adjust to new protocols for now and let the numbers steadily grow back safely and confidently.

Yes we can all have targets and a "feel" for where the share price is going "at some point in future"
The immediacy of some claims is largely the problem.
Repeating stuff incessantly on either side does not make individual more right.
Only thing we all know as FACT is we are at 46p and change currently and last 2 months chart clearly shows the trajectory of movement.
Yes there has been investment company buy in, yes cinemas are opening, yes there is large debt to manage, yes it is a heavily shorted stock, but 20p/£1 in days is unknown and unfounded hopes by relevant side.

MOOLa I am not saying any one day, but during this 2 month period and no doubt before we have had regularly both claims for a few on either side.
Or there is the "this is going to fly", "last chance at these low prices" etc on one side with the "bankrupt soon", "definitely down" etc on the other side.

If we can forget the rampers (perceived good guy) v derampers (perceived bad guys) for a moment and all try to be honest with ourselves and each other.
For the last 2 months this has been a hard watch if you are "long" in this share..It has basically been a continuous (largely steady) drop in share price in that time.
Without doubt confidence in this and other stocks and the economy worldwide has been battered.
So even with cinemas in many countries now open until the USA is open, remains largely open and attendances build over time with confidence and the financials are released hopefully giving some added confidence for future we are up against it.
It is slightly comforting that recently we "seem* to be having some resistance to falling below the circa 45p mark.
Claims of imminent 20p /£1 + at this precise point are both wild and unfounded .

Shorter just one on your other God of all that is always 100% correct .
