If you "bet" you are a gambler. We had this exact same exchange about 4 months ago.
"Winning or losing" has nothing to do with how we interact with others.
You can NEVER truly be a winner, simply by how you interact with others and your deep desire to see others fail.

Re: streaming it's been done to death. I would simply point you to fact that after almost a YEAR of a global pandemic we have only seen a handful of what would otherwise have been reasonable sized Cinema movies divert fully or partially to streaming release. The big bids you refer to just are not big enough for the true monster blockbusters also.

The virus "being around for some time" is not under debate. It is also NOT a problem.
Severe illness and death from it (or any virus) IS the issue.
One that is now being dealt with.
We will live with this virus as we do others and find an "acceptable" level of deaths from it with little or no serious impacts on our regular daily lives again part way through this year.

Something conveniently missed by the shorters and board derampers is the depth of Jangho's pockets and how cash generative cinema chain such as Cineworld is.
Imagine the profits year on year if Jangho decided to buy business and clear lending debts.
One years revenue is equal to the debt roughly :-)

Full Year results are likely to come out around mid March (from previous years) or like the half year they may delay a little again.
By this point the greater news will either have happened as planned or not i.e. 100m in 100days in USA and mid Feb the vulnerable groups vaccinated.
That will be the truly deciding factor on Share Price.
Cinemas open or near ready to open and a confirmed slate of movies with covid a fast disappearing threat will most likely far outweigh expected further losses for second half of year.

I look forward to you shooting down the "streaming is the future, cinema is dead" brigade in that case IDW :-)

Most here know that cinema is still THE place moviemakers want their films.
The lower end filler has always and will always have a place straight to tape/dvd/TV/streaming, BUT the big boys want that big screen release.
