RE: DFC direct funding to Phalaborwa5 Dec 2023 12:57
Thanks @Trojan for the proactive interviiew and SP for the answer which still didn't completely answer my doubts, the interview has cleared that up and gives me some clarity. The first $50m is just for equity in Phal (which means nothing to s/h RBW valuation) and in reality they have paid $50m for something that we control with K-Tech, so effectively just ensuring supply by financing over half the capex, and in that interview George explains the US also wants a piece of the debt/equity pie. I think there will be a lot of competition to take part in the equity stakes, to be able to have a piece of a company that the US effectively want a lot of. We are now a US strategic partner and as such cannot/will not be allowed to fail , the sp will reflect the de-risked nature in due course. The US senate will have already seen the PP back end figures and DFS projections and on that basis have deemed it important to invest directly. They will also have seen estimates using projections for Mosaic PG and using the same tech it should be a lot larger and quicker to market Who are we to argue....!
