Personally, BC, I'm expecting 'the big one' in January, as getting the BOD together, things signed off etc right before Christmas is usually hairish in most companies. If it comes earlier I'll be pleasantly surprised but not disappointed. That said, I don't expect anyone at Synairgen to be taking traditional 'holiday leave' this year! I think they will be flogging through the next few weeks in anticipation of clearing the runway for take off. Yes, it is exciting. That's why Dan can't stay away, lol.

What is it? The Omega variant hasn't happened yet but it is being planned for. It would defeat vaccines and infect children at similar rates to adults. This would result mass hospitalizations and closures than any other wave. Given that Israel has been ahead of the pandemic since the beginning, the idea that they’re practicing for a worst-case scenario says the chance of it occurring isn’t zero. Israel is home to some of the world’s best intelligence agents and analysts. War games are authorised at PM level, they are not done for fun. Even if a drug only prevents hospitalization at a low %, someone will buy that drug because demand will outstrip antiviral supply. Merck will only have 10M courses of their drug available by the end of 2021 and Pfizer will only have 180,000 of theirs, although they say this will jump to 50M by the end of 2022. IMO this signals that governments are far from thinking this Pandemic is over, despite their public messaging.

Must add - the section about the connection between a high fever from (when you have Covid-19) and how it enhances the innate immune system (where IFN kicks in) is pretty mind-blowing. I never came across that before when reading about IFN, but it somehow makes sense. Starts at min 28:10.
