Doc, are referring to SA as having 'virtually no covid'? If so that assumption is incorrect. As of April 25, 2021, the amount of positive coronavirus (COVID-19) tests grew by 1,101 in South Africa, reaching 1,575,471 cases in total. As of the same date, Gauteng was the most affected region with 421,880 confirmed cases, whereas KwaZulu-Natal and Western Cape counted 336,297 and 286,109 positive tested coronavirus cases, respectively. *
Given these very recent numbers , i.e. as at yesterday, SA looks to be a good choice for CV trials right now.
