Well the good news is jury's opinion is clearly wrong. The drop back to 0.34–0.35 wasn’t driven by heavy selling – volumes are exceptionally low. In fact the last half an hours volume is less than single trades we've had last week meaning there's no big sell on news brigade - with 4 billion shares in issue we've had circa 20 million in buys and sells in the last half an hour.

This isn’t the market dumping stock, it’s a few punters selling into a thin order book. With so little liquidity, even a couple of small trades can pull the mid down sharply.

Importantly, there’s been no wall of sells and no sustained volume pressure – meaning the broader market isn’t selling off.

On the flip side, when buyers step in, even modest orders of 5–10M shares push the ask up 5%+ because the free float is so thin.

In short: price looks weak on the chart, but the underlying volume says otherwise. This is classic coiled-spring action – thin liquidity being mopped up quietly, and when real demand arrives, the upside will move fast.

The wording of the RNS and today’s post ties directly into the images — “five-stage cleaning process to unlock the potential of these unique diamonds” — and then shows a clear sequence from rough, to cleaned, to cut stones. There’s no disclaimer that these are “examples” or someone else’s product, and AIM companies cannot put out misleading market comms under Rule 10.

If they weren’t Vast’s own stones, they would have to make that explicit. To post cut diamonds alongside the RNS wording without clarification would stray into being misleading, which the company would never risk.

So the logical conclusion is that at least part of the parcel has been cut and polished to maximise value — exactly as Vast has hinted before about capturing more of the value chain.

The long-awaited update has landed and it’s a strong one:

Diamonds finally moving – public & private tenders of the cleaned parcels are set to commence this month and continue through October. After years of waiting, we now have a timetable in black and white.

Value uplift through beneficiation – the bespoke five-stage cleaning/sorting process has “greatly improved” the value of the stones. Vast is positioning itself to capture maximum margin across the value chain rather than just offloading rough stones cheaply.

Visual confirmation – the Company has now published images not just of cleaned rough stones, but also of cut and polished diamonds. While the RNS carefully stops at “cleaning and sorting,” the photos show otherwise — round brilliant and cushion cuts that clearly demonstrate Vast is taking at least part of the parcel through to finished stones. This is a huge value uplift compared to selling uncut rough.

Romanian mines strategy – although operations remain suspended for now, the technical review is being expanded across Baita Plai and Manaila, with JV and offtake discussions “advanced.” They’re clearly using this downtime to strengthen the long-term model and secure financing. Update expected Q4 2025.

Why this matters for the SP:

The chart has been coiling tightly around 0.35–0.36 with RSI climbing above 50 and low-volume buys already moving the ask. Someone has been quietly accumulating ahead of this news.

Now the market has confirmation: tenders starting this month, with improved parcels and what appears to be cut diamonds entering the mix. That’s a genuine near-term catalyst.

Layer in the fact that Romanian assets are being repositioned with JV/financing interest, and the medium-term story strengthens too.

Put simply: the trigger we’ve been waiting for is here. Tenders starting this month means news flow across September/October, exactly when the book looks thin and buyers are stepping in.

With Vast quietly confirming by image what they’ve only hinted at in words — moving into cutting & polishing — the value realisation from these parcels could be far greater than the market has priced in.

21m 76k buy, being filled since yesterday which is why the price to sell went from 34 to 36 suddenly. If it was a sell, the price wouldn't be going up on low volume would it 🤦‍♂️

I'm hoping we all get gazumped with a JV or asset sale before diamond news. That is dream scenario. Then diamond sale, debt repayment and new financing facility on much better terms. If so I'll be holding these shares for years

3606 to sell 5m, looks like someone's placed a large buy order

Looks like something’s brewing here with VAST.

Price action has been very stable the past few months, sitting in a tight range, which is alone unseen in aim.. but the undercurrents tell a different story. A few points worth noting:

RSI strength – RSI is now consistently holding above the 50 line. That’s often an early sign of momentum shifting from neutral to bullish, without being overbought yet.

Volume pattern – we’re not seeing huge daily turnover, but when volume does spike it’s sharp and controlled. This usually signals quiet accumulation rather than random churn.

Large sells vs small buys – there have been plenty of multi-million “sells” going through, yet the price refuses to break down. That tells you someone big is absorbing supply in the background.

Thin ask / low free float – when a buy order of just 5–10M shares comes in, it moves the ask by 5%+. That’s not normal unless the book is thin and supply is being hoovered up. Once the overhang clears, even modest demand will push the price higher very quickly.

Put together, this feels like smart money quietly accumulating before the next move. The chart is coiling up around 0.35–0.36, and if we see closes above 0.37, the next leg toward 0.40+ could come fast.

A few trades and the price jumps 5%.. imagine when something big drops.

Pecten, the cleaning process is what we have been told is underway, and what we have been shown via rns has been done. How many stones cleaned? Well I saw 5 of them, and I expect they managed at least one more in the last two months.

That’s the big positive here. Once this gets rolling (especially bearing in mind the massive, massive platform we’ve built over two months at 0.34) there is potential surprise announcement after surprise announcement (hopefully not beginning with pla and ending in cing).

We’ve got:

Diamond parcel news – already cleaned, sorted, and confirmed, just waiting on the auction/sales process.

Diamond JV angle – long-running talks in the background, NDAs in play.

Tajikistan updates – multiple fronts, from Aprelevka progress to Bay Square involvement.

BP whispers – no confirmation but the fact it keeps surfacing speaks volumes.

Manaila/Baita Plai – asset reviews, feasibility studies, and crucially confirmed due diligence ongoing for potential JV/third-party investment.

Asset sales / new JVs / fresh projects – the company itself has flagged these possibilities in recent RNS.

And don’t forget:

A management team that’s been actively travelling, meeting, and negotiating worldwide.

Feasibility studies and technical reviews underway that often precede fresh financing or partnership announcements.

A price base that’s been consolidating at historic lows, meaning any substantial news could trigger an outsized move.

In short: the quiet period has been the loading phase. If even half of these strands deliver, the rerate potential is enormous.

Aye asher that immediate pullback on almost zero volume says it all. Pullback looks like nothing more than MM accumulation.

We had the breakout on strong volume, then the retrace straight back down – but notice it’s on tiny red bars compared to the wall of green earlier. That’s not real selling pressure, just the book being walked down to shake loose traders.

If anything, it confirms the breakout was genuine buying. Low-volume dips rarely hold – once the games are done, it usually bounces back stronger.

👉 Breakout still intact, buyers still here. Just looks like accumulation.

Just got quoted 0.435 for 8m shares.. well that's pretty crazy. Ten seconds later 0.3795, but this just shows the huge lack of available shares floating around of our our 4 BILLION. Being held tightly boys and girls

Nah not after 2+ months with absolutely zero information published. That's pretty random for a fomo spike based on nothing.

Something’s brewing here…

Take a look at the chart – Vast had been flatlining in a dead 0.33–0.35 channel for the best part of 2 months. Absolutely no movement, no volatility, just sideways churn.

Now today, out of nowhere, we’ve got:

A wall of green candles breaking through 0.36 with ease

Volume spiking to the highest we’ve seen in weeks (and not just one big print – sustained buy pressure across multiple trades)

RSI ripping from neutral toward 70 in a matter of hours

That is not random retail noise.

This kind of action usually points to one of two things:

Accumulation ahead of news (diamonds / funding / Tajik update?)

Traders jumping on the technical breakout once 0.36 was breached

Chiadzwa Community diamond project?

Either way, the setup looks bullish. After weeks of consolidation, Vast has finally woken up. If this is positioning before an RNS, then we could just be seeing the start of the move.

👉 Worth keeping an eye on – flatlines like that rarely end without reason.

After all this time, I don't want an announcement that we're going to do anything, I want the announcement that X Y Z has been done. Or better yet, the Chiadzwa Community diamond project has been signed.

Many many many things could make this huge, but the community diamond project is the Biggie for me.
