It's been about to take off now for months. I know the time is near, but the wait is getting very, very boring.

Surely they have to be careful about what is in the report. I think the prospectus said that the acquisition would be a reverse takeover. That would most likely mean that the share is suspended for a period of time - it would not make sense to have a drip feed of information. They would be better off either not giving details in the interim (although hints would indeed be nice) or going full out and providing full details, embracing the suspension and coming back with a completed reverse takeover. To do the latter they would need to have absolutely everything in place - and we have no idea whether that is the case!

Hopefully this will tighten AND tick up!

Just a point on the "delays" (which I am thinking are delays compared to made up dates anyhow!) - once the reverse takeover is announced there needs to be sufficient information available to shareholders and I think the share will be suspended until there is (under stockmarket regulations). So it could be that any delay could be because they are trying to get all the necessary information ready so the suspension time is minimal.

Price is going back up again now. Looks like the 100k Jack spoke of might be cleared now?

It is different from quite a few other shells insofar that (according to the prospectus) they intend to subsequently develop and run the Acquisition, rather than get in, add immediate value and sell out. They also intend to build a bigger "empire" (can't remember the exact wording they used!) another interesting thing from the prospectus is reference to the requirement for final shareholder approval before finalising the Acquisition - as well as needed to produce a new prospectus for the reverse takeover. I am not sure how that affects timings and process though.

Hi there - just got into XPL recently and quite excited hearing the rumours floating on this board! One thing I have noticed is that the buy/sell spread seems to fluctuate quite a bit: it has been as low as 3%, but is now back up at around 8.5%. Does this mean anything?

Well, they do seem to have pushed the remaining obstacles out of the way, so this should leave them moving upwards. Just a steady tick up would be fine :-)

Hi there, I am a long-term holder in these (and just getting back to the blue!!!). I am really surprised that there is so little interest in this share, especially on a day where it has risen 45%!! I would normally expect lots of newcomers at least asking questions about the share - but there is almost silence. Hopefully this news has also allowed it to kick off the inertia that has been plaguing it for the last few months. Onwards and upwards :-) Even if the edison investment is only half right, it would be a big plus!! GLA
