Thanks for your replies Strummer and Fulmar. I have found at least one "Never again" CEO in my brief (2 year) experience of AIM…..
If it gets taken over, surely the price at which it goes is a function of both the buyer and the sellers’ perception of value. I see Orion and La Mancha’s strategic holdings as a positive rather than a negative, since I’m pretty confident they won’t let their positions go unrealistically cheaply. Assuming all goes well with the build I would expect them to be targeting multiples of their original investment and I’m not sure how PIs would be prevented from sharing in that.
@PickedPeck said "Fulmar, I have several T-shirts from that particular tour."
I'm relatively new to AIM. Could you say what shares you were in where PIs got done over by IIs?
I can see from chat on other boards that it's something people are sensitive about and I was wondering about the mechanics of how it actually happened.
Don't count your profit before its realised.....
I agree that looks like a change in emphasis but, in the absence (so far) of any evidence that they are getting near a platform trial or a JV all it means is that one potential route to commercialisation is being abandoned. I think consensus on here was prolly that they couldn't do their own trial anyway, not I'm not sure it's of significance.
Yes, I wouldn't be surprised. The free float ain't huge so it might not take all that much to move the price, but still you'd think there must have been some pretty determined buying.
Lads/lasses
Surely it’s just routine business to keep the webby up to date? I’m really struggling to see how this is significant.
Hi Strummer
I think "hedge" is a general term for any deal that protects you from future price movements. A forward sale protects you from future price movements so I’d say it is a hedge, although there are several other ways of achieving a similar result.
Why do you call it "pseudo" hedging?
Toby, is that you?
There are at least some signs that after the Financial muppetry under the previous FD, the current incumbent is getting to grips with the financial situation.
Seems legit
@Ghia said…"Companies house does show they report on the 31st Dec therefore will require stability in asset value in the preceding period."
Why so?
A friend of mine has a T-shirt with a picture of a half empty glass with the slogan "half full" under it. Whenever I see him wearing it I point out the error.
"we are all mindful of RM's words at the AGM that he
thought we would be dosing patients this winter..."
He was guessing. He might be right, but I have learned not to trust ant forward looking comment like that from him.
"we know there are several trials on the horizon..."
Depends what you mean by "on the horizon"
Maybe someone got themselves short and was happy to pay the fairly punchy price to lift auction stock. If the short got filled it might blunt any rises tomorrow.
I was pleased to see that I am back in profit in my ISA holding. My other accounts hold most of my over-excited top ups and still have a way to go before they turn blue, sadly.
That’s most likely to happen when the market is short…..MMs very keen to get stock back, but don’t want to lift the market offer because it will push the price up and cost them money.
Have you got L2 Strummer?
"because at 25% you can block any resolutions…"
This isn’t right, you can only block special resolutions.
Stay calm buddy
