I'm not sure how many years I've been sitting on these now but I tend to shrug off big movements either way, I'm so far into the red with them I've written it off in my mind. I saw the announcement yesterday though and I'm pleased to see a serious gain, will it last? End of 2020 for more news, which in the timeline of PLE / Regent / Plethora / Fortacin, whatever, is the blink of an eye...

Is there any sales data anywhere? I follow this board as an observer mainly and saw that Fortacin is available online so last night (out of curiosity not PE need :-) ) bought some. I'm interested to see what it looks like, how it works etc. - but first impression was that its bargain basement cheap. I think someone mentioned its close to expiry? Which i assume means it hasn't sold very well. I'v e never seen any marketing and it seems even Regent don't like to talk about their own products or business!

Are there any special conditions attached to the shares being issued? I don't think so, and they appear cheaper in the open market this morning. Any reason to subscribe to the retail offer?

Disappointing day, heavy swings in the past week or so. A word of investment advice for everyone out there - do the exact opposite to what I do and you'll do well!

I also picked up a few at 196. Sold my last lot at 195 and wish I'd held. SP peeked at 200 today, but with POO at $70 and all signals suggesting this is about to break out, I'm hoping to see 230 again in the next couple of weeks

Still heavily shorted. In the absence of more news, a deal or a good trading update, I can't see this holding on in the 400s for long. When is the next trading update due?

While I'm as optimistic as everyone that another deal is on the cards, I found this regarding the rumour circulating that Ocado is in talks with the Swedish retailer ICA Gruppen; https://www.reuters.com/article/ica-gruppen-strategy/update-2-sweden-to-play-catch-up-with-food-retails-online-shift-ica-gruppen-ceo-idUSL8N1OE0PR Their CEO states that the Ocado link is just a rumour. It could be argued he has to say that in order not to reveal anything sensitive, or it could just be a rumour. If so, expect the share price to drop back well into the 300s again. If the deal is happening though, very very good news. As for the Wal-Mart takeover, I guess none of us know what the board may decide but I agree that it is not just Tim Steiner who has the final say on that, and certainly not a power of veto. If an offer is made then it would have to be announced and in my view there would have to be a compelling reason not to sell. Surely the exit strategy for all is ultimately a sale, and there isn't anyone bigger than Wal-Mart. They have the cash, need the tech and have the ability to swallow up Ocado and realise its lofty global ambitions. I can't see many shareholders opting to disregard a suitable offer and continue going it alone. I think the Ocado team have done a remarkable job to this point, but in my view - if an offer did materialise - the next step is a sale to a global player. Just an opinion
