Tlou and Sekaname were awarded Preferred Bidder there's only one company that's way ahead of the game right now and it's Tlou Energy.
You mentioned the point about Tlou acquired their Lesedi and Mamba leases from 3rd parties, which in turn acquired them from Sekaname; this really makes me question the other point you mentioned about Tlou management working on this project for 10 years or more. So Sekaname has been doing for a long time too if their leases are being acquired by a company like Tlou Energy coming in to the game later. The big question is why would you let Mamba and Lesedi leases go, you're talking about a geologist specialist like Tony Gilby putting his own money in to the project and seeing something Sekaname didn't. Don't forget Tony Gilby has done this and is proven at the highest level.
I'll have to add, a company like Sekaname that has been around a lot longer than Tlou Energy, but there no where near Tlou Energy when it comes to poles, wires, substations etc. Good luck to them, because you need a guy like Tony Gilby when it comes to a project like this, he's miles ahead. Plus Sekaname and Tlou Energy were awarded respected amount of MW at the same time; and Sekaname still don't come close to Tlou Energy which again tells me Tlou Energy are doing great when you're doing comparisons. If I was Sekaname I would pull my finger out and hurry up because Tlou Energy are breaking boundaries and creating a blueprint for them to consider.
In my opinion Tlou Energy will scale over 10MW quick because the country are over paying ridiculous prices from exports.
We agree that Sekaname are at least 2-4 years behind Tlou Energy?
In terms of the transmission line, it's not a big deal when you think of what these companies are trying to achieve. This is a huge opportunity for any company and there's loads of the pie to share with other potential companies trying to break in to the market.
Tlou Energy will be the first CBM independent power producer of electricity in Botswana.
Going back to the drilling, it doesn't matter if Tlou Energy are doing horizontal or vertical. You have trust the CEO who has been there and done it twice successfully before.
The market opportunity for Gas in Southern Africa can accommodate Sekaname and Botala. But there nowhere near the levels of Tlou Energy, so when it comes to comparison you're only looking at one winner which is Tlou Energy.
If I was Sekaname or Botala I would be asking to form a friendly society with Tlou Energy. This would only benefit all 3 companies in the long run.
Think I've just sold myself to buy a few more Tlou Energy shares at this cheap price ;)
