Face it, Sepura was heading for trouble, even without the acquisition. Its high share price was assured by highly profitable contracts negotiated years earlier. Well things changed in the meantime. TETRA is a standard. Its the nature of manufacturing that products manufactured to meet a standard become a commodity
The warning signs were there. Sepura was bragging about how indestructible their handsets were, IP 67 68 compliant and so on. That is pretty commonplace now, you can get quality IP 67 handsets for £50 - £60
They had to move on and diversify . 4G LTE is the way to go along with backend infrastructure
