So, it looks a done deal between these two. I see Newmont wants more exposure to copper and future deposits, well thats Havieron right there.
I don't see Newmont walking away from Havieron or Telfer, infact, I see them taking our 30% as a starter.
Let's hope we get this eye-watering sum SD has alluded to.

Why would Newmont, the world's largest gold producer not be interested in the gold find of the century, the biggest in a lifetime, 20+ m/oz. Just as we are on the cusp of extracting the gold.
Just don't see them not having Hav.

TT, totally agree on SD relationship with the retail investors here in the UK, lets hope that continues and isn't strained by the timing of the MRE and ASX listing.

Anyone else find that certain posters are conspicuous by their absence on this matter.

SD has enjoyed nothing but full unfettered support from his UK retail investors from his first day in office, despite the awful sp performance.
So, to list without the upgraded MRE (whatever the circumstances) would show a lot of disregard and be very contemptuous to us all.

Just to be clear, I support SD in this ASX listing, but as has been said, he said it would be done from a position of strength. If we list without, as a bare minimum the updated MRE, then we do so from a position of weakness and that will lay at his door.

IMO, it is absolutely imperative “completely necessary” (for the good of the retail investors, those people that took all the risk in the early days of GGP, the trailblazers) that all available price enhancing news is released before we list on the ASX and that must include the updated MRE.

It will be a serious thumb in the eye if SD lists on ASX before said updates. That is in his control.

Yes they will, but all private investors must fully understand the potential consequences to the retail investor of this move.
Don't be sold on words like, costs, simplicity, ease of doing, I.E, the serious risks associated as well as the benefits.
Be careful what you wish for and truly understand what you are voting for.

Right now, I need to see much more detail before Making my decision, but when I read that line this morning, initially it made my stomach turn.

Look for what is not being said.

Would you mind expanding on that and your reasons for thinking that?
The reason I ask is, I was with a group of investors at a dinner last night, 5 of them were very bullish in the PM sector and in particular Australian mining companies, but 2 of them had a similar take to you as regards GGP.

It would be interesting to get your take, so I can sit it by the 2 guys views from last night.

Is what it is.
The management of GGP, NEM and NCM have all the known knowns.
The shareholders of said companies have the unknown knowns ( "the things you think you know, that it turns out you did not") and this is where the market is showing excessive risk towards GGP right now.

NCM are hiding nothing from their shareholders that they believe will result in a lower offer. They have the known knowns, which includes everything SD knows as well as NEM.
NEM will be offering on full disclosure to them of all of NCM assets. Whether they then decide to sell on some of those assets is yet to be seen.

Known known, the GGP BOD have a valuation of Havieron, we don't, because of the unknown known element. Ultimately, whatever value you put on your shares, it will make no difference to the end game , the corporate vote will carry if needed.

The 2 key issues for me right now on this NEM/NCM resolution is,
1. Will the owner of the 70% of Havieron continue as is?
and if not,
2. What will the much lauded GGP BOD do?

Right now, we the GGP shareholders are being left dangling in the dark somewhat.
What happened to SD's going on the offensive? Nothing or no one stopping him releasing an updated MRE or is there?

Someone posted here a few days ago, Newmont only get interested and involved with Tier 1 projects.
Tier 1 projects have to be found, what if Newmont could acquire a company that does just that, discovers the next generation of Tier 1 projects?
What would that cost them? and how could they, the world's largest gold producer, say no. CB recently quoted, win, win for GGP.

I agree, you are no expert, and I disagree that it's not a lot to get excited about.
If we had drilled nearly 1km down and found nothing, then yes you may be right, but you're miles out in your interpretation of this significant RNS.

You would never find this intercept in a single drill hole 3-4 in wide, on if's own. It belongs to a huge system, you must think bigger.

Dont underestimate the implications this has with regards Telfer.
Rudall has just potentially given Newmont a new dilema with their thinking on GGP, Hav and Telfer, but maybe not, what do they do now?

The market wont know what to do with this today. One certainty is this, you don't find that concentration of gold at that depth in isolation.
Its only 20k from Hav, take a look at the map, in particular, Scallywag and Telfer then join the dots. Are we sitting on a gigantic gold/copper system as never seen before?

1m @ 393g/t, thats 11.2 oz of gold in that 1m. Another 11.5 oz in the 18m and open at depth, from 1 hole.
