I know they have excess aircraft to call forward, but fires and aircraft don’t mix. Very possibly a shock fall today.
One thing that some are not taking into account is the crew restructuring. I think they were paying people different amounts on different contracts. How can a Purser/ CSD justify £55k?
A Captain was also on a huge amount of money (£100k+). Those days have gone, and there is a glut of pilots that will easily last a decade, the dog will eat it's own! Salary bills will be down, less efficient aircraft and routes are gone and those savings aren't even on the sheet yet.
All of the pilots that went back to the RAF will jump at the chance to re-join the IAG, so salary inflation is no longer. You can bet your bottom dollar the buyers are hedging fuel like it's Bolly or Moet now. I think the rise will accelerate until around the £2.30 mark and then it's wait and see.
Daggermal,
It has legs, and I see 200 before the end of winter (Feb), so hold on and accept the bumpy ride.
FWIW, do not totally rely on any/ all information on here. Nobody is an expert, just read in at different levels.
But the guys you have asked seem spot on.
If you use AJ Bell and have a certain holding then you get free access to Shares magazine too.
Agree with you WASU. The logistics thing is going to be taken by the military. They have practiced and planned this all year. As for side effects, well I'm sure if you have the choice you will take the vaccine, it may affect 1/100 people, but the peace of mind outweighs the small risk.
Other countries may ask to see proof of vaccination, but they also need their ravaged economies to start repairing. Next Easter who is to say those countries won't have been vaccinated?
We talk of our 3 proven vaccines, but Russia and China will be out there doing the hearts and mind thing too, with up to a dozen vaccines. The capital gained from good will like that is totally misunderstood, and when China mass produces the vaccines it will be on a scale of 100s times larger capacity than the West.
Thanks PAYJJ
I can remember that and the subsequent short stop in trials. Two doses of 66 million people is going to take some time! If they have supplies then I can see the roll out going over the Xmas lockdown as if by jabbing 100,000 people saves one life then it has to be worth it. I can see the military throwing everything at it when it's handed over to them.
I think the band will be further raised by the US this afternoon. They actually prefer flying the pond on UK carriers as they aren't as stingy as the US ones. We will see £2 by Xmas as people are now flocking to book holidays post easter. I think you have shot the bolt on this one, unless you are dealing in big numbers of shares.
PAYJJ, I'm sure there are many that regret the MMR saga and other vaccines. I for one want to get away on holiday, so I will take it, and the earlier the better, when others won't have that travel insurance doubt should they succumb to it whilst away.
The market is a group of little mice that dramatize everything, just be patient and the numbers will start speaking for themselves!
On the vaccine uptake-the less people that take it (and there's a thought 15 million people have immunity to it now), the shorter the queue will be. Not only that, I really don't want a dose of washing up viscosity fluid in my lungs.
