"We’re trying to paint a picture of what it’s like to ride the Big C rollercoaster."
Tonight at 10pm, Bill Turnbull: Staying Alive airs on Channel 4.
It's a powerful documentary about our ambassador Bill Turnbull, the TV presenter and journalist currently living with advanced prostate cancer. It follows his life as he goes through chemotherapy; tries diets and other complementary therapies; and speaks to others dealing with the disease, including Stephen Fry. It's well worth a watch.
Tune in and let us know what you think on social media. Our nurses will be responding to some of the most common questions soon after.
We caught up with Bill while he was making the documentary to chat about his treatment and what he hopes to say with the new film.
THE MAKING OF 'STAYING ALIVE'

It was an extraordinary surprise to meet you on Monday to hand over money raised from the GoFundMe appeal. Having looked at the page I am very moved by people’s generosity and kind words. I always knew John was a well liked man and it means a great deal to see those messages.
Our children are 15, 13 and 11. The older two are autistic and have ADHD, and are currently Home Educated. I discussed with them what they might find most useful, and gave them your suggestions for a fun garden. As I said to you, our garden is fairly small and would not take much garden furniture. So far, they have indicated they would like to use the money to engage in the activities they had to stop when their father became ill. Oliver would like to recommence horse-riding at Ealing Riding School and Charlotte would like to recommence Judo. I hope it would be alright to allocate some of the funds to our youngest son, Thomas, who recently started secondary school and would like to have keyboard or swimming lessons.
The memorial bench is another charming idea; John loved living near the river and spent many happy moments walking along the towpath. I intend to make enquiries into how to go about having a bench dedicated to his memory placed there.
You suggested I share details of the fundraiser with friends and family who attended John’s funeral. On the day, a smaller collection was made in aid of the mental health charity MIND, and I feel a little uncomfortable asking for further donations on the children’s behalf. I hope to get over that feeling of discomfort and be brave about passing on the information.
Please convey my thanks to the friends who have so kindly offered their skills to help settle John’s affairs. I have some help with that locally, but it might be their skills will be limited with specific tasks and I might well have need of further assistance. Would it be alright to contact you if that is the case?
The money raised so far will be deposited into a dedicated account to be drawn on when firm decisions have been made for its use. Thank you so very much for your amazing efforts.

IT was stake in private biotech in florida which valirx has some contribution representing 5% holding in the company, this was holding of one of the directors who had an affair within the company and donated their full holding to valirx FOC, was worthless so was not on balance sheet.
the said company wanted valirx out and paid 150k to buy back valirx stake, i hope they have more zero valued assets in the drawers can be cashed like this
the bad news the penalty to be paid in the biofit deal will absorb all 150k, i do agree about mismanagement to highest degree in converting 10k win to 160k loss, hope the biofit asset has 1m net work but who knows
and the late great JG used to say the crown jewels of valirx
