The delay to UKEF is likely the result of JW's Isles of Scilly venture, and the globalist Tories wanting to make the Labour Party look good.

The extra £30 million in Sea Rose revenue will very likely make up for any deficiencies in, long past, trading.

Somehow, all JW's vision and effort will be made to look like Labour Party policy. Although, I suspect that the UKEF loan guarantee will come with new "woke" provisions: e.g. x percent of apprentices must be trans and anybody caught using phrases including the words "Reform UK" must be dismissed immediately.

I've a bad feeling that Boeing implemented such a policy about 10-years ago and we are now seeing the effect that had on passenger safety!

The FT article says nothing new. As I said before, it looks like the Tories have handed the "HARL problem" onto Labour in order to make the party look like it's doing what's best for UK manufacturing. If I'm right, then this "show trial" is good for HARL as Labour can't be seen yet not to support British Industry.

Article says were were "handed" the FSS contract, etc, and includes a line about "Labour swept to power"and Rachel Reeves "won't be bullied", ending with

"A source, close to the company, said "business is “continuing very positive talks

- will have a resolution soon”

LSE. My brother works at Director Level in the Office Space/Schools building industry. I remember him talking about the mega profits made from Gordon Brown's PFI schemes.

He thought the taxpayer, and the other country, were screwed by them!!!

Scilly Mike. Sounds like you are very, very, very, far from happy that HARL are going to start earning revenue from the brand spanking new ferry service.

Yes, arrangements have been far from perfect, and customer service, a disaster, but methinks the Steamship Group are now very, very, very, worried about how they are going to put their fares up to the astronomical levels that they seem to have planned to do!

HARL will make money here, and the customer will get far better value for money!

Just to add that I was able to place an valid order for sailings from Penzance from 20th of July 2024 in the online order cart. So, either the company ARE taking bookings or there is a major error with the booking system!

Methinks that we will find out at 7:05am, or a little later, in the morning!
