My understanding is that before a public entity is moved into the private sector, it is deliberately run-down in order that that transfer is seen to have also instantaneous benefits. With this in mind, are both the northern, and southern, Irish political classes deliberately stalling investment projects in order that a "united Ireland" is seen to be a major step forward by the mass of the people? If so, then deliberate hardship is being placed, unnecessarily, on the people's of the north, and south. IMO this is a utter, shameless, disgrace. But what can anyone do about it?
